Turned on the truck this morning and the check engine light and trac off lights were on. The trac off light turns off at 30 mph. But check engine stays on. Anyone have any ideas. And I don’t think it’s the gas cap.

You’ll need to scan the codes, post them here and someone can give you an idea what might be wrong. Most Auto Parts stores will scan for codes for free, or there are a variety of OBD Scanners you can buy, ranging from ~$40 Scanners which work via Bluetooth to several hundred dollar Scanners which can scan ABS, SRS and other codes.

Yeah. Check engine light could probably be 1000 different things. Literally. Only way to know is to pull the code.

Yes could be anything. Scan for codes. However did you do a quick check for any rodent activity under the hood?

Could be something as simple as the gas cap. Toyota's it's pretty normal for the Trac Off light to come on when the CEL does.
