I had a new battery installed in my car today. My check engine light came on. I immediately had my car diagnoised. It said I needed a map sensor. I turned my key half way on and waited five seconds and then started the car and the engine light was off. Could I have had a false reading due to the rebooting of the computer?
    Thank you

New battery is good? Sometimes a low voltage from a bad battery can trigger random sensor codes. You can get the new battery's voltage checked out at any auto parts store, or using a code scanner if you have one

Yes. If it doesn’t come on and stay on no worries.
