    Hello,

I have a 2010 Double Cab SR5 Tacoma. Since a few days, I have a check engine code P0335 + the anti-skid light on in my dash. When it happens, all the anti-skid system doesn't work at all. My rear wheels spins very easy on the ice.

According to ODB-II, P0335 means Crankshaft Position Sensor a circuit malfunction. Why the anti-skid system is affected by that?

I look the box fuses and everything is okay. I reset the check engine code. Here is the weird thing I found :

    - When I start "manually" the engine with the key, no check engine at all. No problem with anti-skid system.

    - When I use the remote start, this when I got the P0335 code. I noticed it took between 20-30 seconds before the starter runs to start the engine. It is pretty weird. Before, it was much more quicker.

So ... as for now, I can confirm the P0335 code occurs only when I use the remote start. And it also bring the anti-skid system to not work at all. But it works when I start the engine manually.

Does anybody have any idea why it happens? Are we really talking about the crankshaft position sensor or it is something different?

    Thank you.

Check the tech notes. "Sometimes and in some models, low battery voltage or a weak starter can can trigger a Crankshaft Position Sensor code. Before replacing any parts, recharge or replaced battery."

    Hey OP, et al:

I just had my 2010 DC TRD Off-Road throw these same two lights. I was on a decent dirt road, had been running the truck for a couple hours, and had just slowed before a stop sign when they turned on.

Code reader says P0335. Traction control seems to be inoperative. Lights remain on through start-up and shut-off cycles. I did not clear the codes yet.

I do not have a remote start.

I do, however, have the original battery, and I am curious if this aforementioned TSB applies. I am 60 miles from the nearest dealership, yet still under warranty.

Was any resolution was found for reznor's issue?

I am having the EXACT issue.
When I use my remote starter, it fails to fully start. The engine turns over at regular speed but it quits almost halfway through the final turnover to start the engine.
It seems to happen at lower temperatures and it is only -5 Degrees Celsius in Alberta Canada right now.
I will bring my truck to Certified Radio where I got my remote starter installed.

Did any of you find out how to fix this?...

This is strictly a guess, but the ignition switch has IG1 and IG2 outputs. Is it possible that the remote start is only energizing 1 of them?

This remote starter has been in my truck for approximately 4 years...
It started doing this at the end of February.

    FIXED!

Brought my truck to the place that originally installed the car started and they reprogrammed the starter. All is fixed now. No more engine code or false starting. Bring on the Canadian winter!

What does reprogramming the starter entail? Can any shop do this?

The car audio shop that installed my remote starter reprogrammed it. I think they updated the software and reprogrammed it from scratch. No problems since.
