Check Brake System Warning Message

I have noticed that the "Check Brake System" warning light and message come on whenever I perform the following steps:

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON ( do not start the engine)
2. Depress the brake pedal 5 - 7 times

Could one of you please confirm if this is not normal ?

Normal, you're depleting reserves with the engine off. I assume the pedal gets firmer and firmer?

 

When u first turn it on it will cycle threw everything . System check of some sorts . As long as the light does not stay on u should be good . As far as the second part with hitting the brake pedal . Never tried that . Not sure why u would be doing that .
