Hi I bought an Ecoflow River 2 Pro generator to power the Iceco refrigerator in the bed of the truck and I thought I would power the generator from the 110v instead of the cigarette lighter plug. Well, I quickly found out that the 110v will not run to charge up the generator and only the cigarette lighter plug will work. The cigarette lighter only pushes about 95 watts and the refrigerator consumes roughly 60watts. So this formula will not be enough to keep the generator charged and working to support the refrigerator all the time as my driving is very limited. When I searched on the internet someone posted something that the 110v plug in our truck is a modified sine wave and the ecoflow requires a pure sine wave. This is too technical for me. All I want to know is there a type of generator that will work from our 110v and can charge at a high rate?

That's odd. I have the larger, eco flow delta pro and it charges just fine. You'll have to use the 400w setting while the engine is running. Does the River have the option for a "fast charge". If so, turn that off and adjust the charge level for below 400 watts.

It didn't work yesterday. But I will try again today and play with the settings since you say your ecoflow delta pro works. Can you share the exact model in case I wind up changing mine.

What settings are you all using for your eco flows? I have mine at charging on 200 watts but it is not working. I also tried 300 and 400.

I set mine to 300 watts. Is yours not charging at all?

The 1st time I tried, I messed around with settings to bring below 400 watts and I didn't succeed. After I bought the delta, I just plugged it because it didn't have an app to mess with settings and it worked right away and it was chaging at almost 800 watts. I wasn't happy that the delta that I got from Costco because it didn't have an app so I returned it to Costco and I bought a delta 2 which wirks with Bluetooth app. I noticed, the delta 2 varies, it charges as high as 1100 watts and drops gradually to 300 watts. I then decided to try the river 2 pro by just plugging in and not messing with watts and I noticed it was charging around 780 watts. I hope this helps

Mine does not charge at the moment. I plug it into the outlet in the cabin and turn the AC button on. I can hear the charger click on but the charge section of the screen does not show it charging but instead you can hear a second click and the charge stays at 000. not charging. Can you hear the click when you plug yours in? Do you hear a second click? I have a Tacoma Off Road, not hybrid, are your trucks hybrid?

Mine is an off road, non hybrid, as well. Are you using the eco flow app to adjust the charging rate?

Yes, maybe I should just try changing the settings on the Delta 2 it self. Right now I have the app at 200w

I have a 2015 TRD off-road and a Delta 2. The eco flow app only allows me to go as low as 200 W charging. I would really like to be able to charge it while I'm driving which I think the Tacoma can only put out 100 watts when you're driving. My Delta 2 just keeps clicking and shows zero on the display like the other poster mentioned.

I suspect there's a reason for the switch to 100W while driving. Anyone have long-term experience with using the 400W anytime mod? Anyone know the official reason for the reduction in capacity while driving? I doubt that Toyota spent the extra money for a 2-level inverter just for fun.

There's a mod that allows you to run 400 watts while driving. They make a little kit, but I haven't seen one for the 4th gen yet. The wire mod is pretty simple.

The inverter in the Tacoma is the same inverter in Nissan trucks. It's outsourced like everything else these days.

I'm currently making an adapter harness to swap out the OEM inverter in my truck with a 400w REDARC pure sine inverter that'll always run 400w.

Most of the issues people are having with these "solar generators" is that most reject modified sine 120v. They detect the dirty AC and refuse to charge. I don't see why they can't make them to tolerate modified sine, but that's the typical reason most vehicles with 400w OEM inverter won't charge these devices. My Anker Solix requires pure sine to charge.

I am looking into this as well and will share the info/wiring diagrams @caribe makaira sent to me. I have not been able to fully dive into but hope it helps so we can all get this done.

So, the fused 80Amp wire going to the OEM inverter is this:
This is the connector to the A/C output.
For the Redarc Inverter, you'd purchase a mating connector so there's no cutting the harness. One side would get a normal a/c plug to the Redarc output, the other would get the mating connector to Q4. The ground on the added A/C plug would share the same location (ring terminal) as the ground for the OEM inverter. It's a bolt just ahead of the OEM inverter connectors.

I have the 12 pos connectors and contacts.

The issue I am having is finding the 2 pos high current connector mating end.

    Have you found that one?

BTW, to be clear, I'm doing this on a Nissan Titan. I've been joining in on these discussions because Nissan uses the same inverter and connectors as Toyota does for the Gen 3 and Gen 4 Tacoma.

If you go to eBay and look up used inverters for these trucks (mine is a 2021, same inverter from 20-24) you'll see they're the same. Apparently some Toyota enthusiasts are very good at making electrical adapters, so for now I'll just make them available to the Nissan guys.

With the huge enthusiast base of Tacoma owners I can see that once everything is sorted, an inverter adapter kit can be mass produced in China far cheaper than I can do them myself. I make other Nissan adapters too, but generally only move 10-20 sets a year due to Nissan truck enthusiasts being a small fraction of Toyota.

If the Nissan uses same connector and inverter, what are you searching a mating connector for?
