    That’s funny the dealer I used to take mine to always flagged the cabin filter, then say it’ll be 50 bucks to change it :rofl:

    I caught my dealership lying too, saying they rotated my tires when they didn’t... Even put it on the service receipt.

    Last time I went there!

    I don't rotate my tires as recommended. I used to... but found it really made so little difference it wasn't worth the effort. I let them get about half worn out and then swap front to back and done. Just sayin'... your mileage may vary.

    Back in 2004 stealership recommended replacing cabin air filter.
    $16 filter $36 labor. I bit.
    1st gens don't have cabin air filters.

    If you don’t use “fresh” air for a few minutes before turning off your truck, your recirculate function will build up moisture. Over time the vents get moldy and it smells like feet. Especially true in humid places…

    When you 1st get in your truck run your heat on high for 2 minutes before turning your a/c on. Takes care of the stank. I read that on here several times and I thought the guys were freaking nuts till I tried it. Works like a charm.

    I know I get my oil/filter changed at the dealership every May so I order one of these cabin filters on Amazon in May then at the end of June each year after the tree pollen is finished I put the new cabin filter in. I write the date on the filter just for the hell of it but that is something I don't forget to do every year. Along with replacing the rubber on the windshield wipers. :)

    I know my dealership service dept. only puts 6 quarts of bulk oil in so 2 weeks ago I caught them at the pay counter trying to charge me for 7 quarts of oil. The service tech said yes my truck holds 6.2 quarts so it is billed up. I told the goofy looking dude I was well aware and the service manager has told me on multiple occasions they only put 6 quarts in vehicles even though they call for the extra .2 quart. He says hold on a minute and let me go check something. He comes back out and thanks me for catching that saying the computer automatically bills for 7 quarts. He said he changed it on the computer and I thought to myself, "Sure you did." It was only $4.46 for the extra quart they tried billing me for but just think of all the customers getting oil changes that are getting billed for that extra quart when they supposedly putting the .2 or .4 quarts in.
