Is there a simple explanation of what is covered and for how long?
I know the vehicles have the 3 year 36 month which covers I guess everything for whatever time or mileage remains on a Certified used, but beyond that it's not exactly clear.
    Thanks

You get 12 months/12K miles bumper to bumper from date of purchase (this runs concurrent with any existing warranty) also you get 7 years/100K powertrain from original purchase (so instead of 5 years/60K - you get another 2 years and 40K).

My DIL just bought a certified used Mercedes (with 256 miles on it) and their cert warranty kicks in AFTER the original warranty. So, she actually got a practically brand new Mercedes with a better warranty that if she had bought it new and saved $4K off.

My wife did the same with Mercedes last year. She got a CPO GLC with 10K on it. I looked at new 2020 GLC's comparably equipped.
Best I could do was about $7K higher new vs the CPO. Thought to myself. If I buy one of these new and drive it for a few months or a year. I'm going to have a used car with the same value as the CPO. Yea, maybe a few less miles. But for a saving of $7K and a better warranty?
    No brainer...

Ya, she bought hers and it was corporate return program or something like that (used for 3 months and 256 miles - they had a bunch of similar ones but this one was exactly what she wanted and was going to buy new. Luckily, the saleslady showed her the CPO - done deal). I was amazed at what she was getting - total no brainer.

Did the same here. Called the same salesman she has bought 3 other new Mercedes from. Told him what she was looking for. Said he had exactly what she wanted with a great deal.
It's the 1st used car I've bought in over 25 years. I looked that car over with a White glove. Looked as good as new. Not even 1 rock chip on the front.

A bit off topic, but what does "DIL" stand for?

What exactly does the 7 year/100k Powertrain cover exactly? Everything from Engine to the Axles 100% coverage?

Thanks! Looks like pretty good coverage. The dealership offers a protection program for something like 7,000 that gives an extended warranty, theft coverage with GPS tracking.
With what I have heard about reliability of these vehicles, I think putting that 7,000 in my pocket is a better idea.
