Hi everyone, long story short.. I had Suntek CIR series nano ceramic tint installed on my '21 TRD sport and I'm not completely digging the results. The color of the tint and clarity seems opaque from the inside out. For reference I have 20% installed, no windshield yet.

Does anyone have tint film brand they like in terms of clarity and color from inside?
pics would be appreciated! I will be having the truck redone after feedback and YT research.

    Thanks!

I went with 3m, and the higher end 3m crystalline on the front windshield, all seems fine.

Honestly I’m not sure if the windshield was worth it, for legal reasons, mine is just one shade darker than clear.

@helix66 I have 50% windshield on my Land Cruiser and its definitely worth it, not to jinx it but have not gotten a ticket here in CA since i installed it 2 yrs ago. We drive to out to see family in AZ often and I used to get mad sunburn without it.

I have 50% windshield and 15% everywhere else. Brand is Llumar. Clarity seems just fine to me. The only way I know it's there is because I wear polarized sunglasses and get that rainbow effect on the darker tint. No rainbow on the windshield though and no wrinkles or odd bubbling.

Good to know that it works but they were telling me that the film itself was doing the heat rejection regardless of the darkness. Otherwise maybe I would have gone with a darker tint for looks and heat.

I know some areas like Bishop they will pull you over just for any tint on the front door glass.

Of course two weeks after I was driving on the 395 and out of nowhere something hit the windshield and put a tiny chip in it. I got it fixed at safelite so it wouldn’t spider.

I'm running the 3M crystalline 50% front windshield, 40% fronts, 5% rears (over the security glass). Pictures don't do it justice, as the windshield looks very dark because of the other windows and black interior. But it's clear as I can tell.
