You can get similar longer lasting results with aerolon tech shine.

Less than 5k so nothing but small things like console tray and such
I used a ceramic wax in a bright green bottle also (can’t remember the name) after I purchased a 21’ and was shocked at how easy and the results and should not charge someone an arm and leg for it. It’s so freaking simple it’s ridiculous.

ceramic coatings do not protect against swirls and scratches XD
I don’t understand why a lot of folks think that.

because too much marketing puts on its 10H hardness and crap. Sure it will help with reducing light marring from improper car washing but its not going to stop scratches and swirls if you are neglecting it.

The stuff sold over the counter or in these bigger box stores isn't the same quality stuff a professional shop would do a ceramic coating. I think there are different grades of coatings these shop apply also. From what i've seen that was done on my truck professionally applied to the turtle hybrid ceramic stuff bought in an auto parts store isn't the same. While its better than a good wax job, it only lasts a few months before you need to do it again. The glass coat on my truck looks as good as ever from 2 years ago.

I think it depends on the type or quality of the coating used. Whatever is in the coating i had done 2 years ago is still there. I was told i would need to ever wash, or wax the truck. Most i've done in winter due to the mud, and salt is hose it off.

I walked by that stuff at my local place the other day. Collinite does suck to get off if you leave it too long, although the 915 is way better that the double coat. I'll have to pick some up for the spring detail.

Reading about that now. I usually use back to black, any experience using the 3/1 ceramic on trim? Says it can be used on all plastic and rubber....

I have been topping my coating with the Griots and honestly going forward I am done with coatings. They take a lot of extra work with prep. Yea I normally do that anyway but there is the fear of messing up and only having a 30ml bottle or something that can happen you are not paying attention and knock over the little bottle and there goes your coating.
The longest I ever go without topping up whats on my truck is maybe 2 months max. I will probably be sticking with Griots 3 in 1 and Bead maker on my Bronco when that order comes in. Easier to use cost less and really no chance of messing anything up. I have had plenty of times I almost nocked over that small little bottle and lost everything.

I use Solution finish on any exterior black plastics. Its a bit more expensive and messy on application but it last a good amount of time. Also the Cerakote trim stuff is also very good.

I'm famous for putting polish bottles on the bed rail and having them fall off while im buffing. Most of them have at least broken tops. I'd cry if I knocked over a $100 bottle of ceramic coat.

Recently hit up a sale at Harbor freight and got a small cart on wheels. Game changer for detailing.

Thats what i've used for my boat, but geez did the boat take a beating last summer with zebra mussels. Must of been 3'' thick of the on the hull causing mucho gel coat blisters. Our lake association forgot to file for the permits with the state to treat the lake last year.:frusty:

I use their Fleetwax on mine, 2 coats and it lasted all season here in the salt water. Do you paint the bottom?

No videos, but the water still beads right off it like it did a couple years ago if that means anything. Its the same as our prius when it gets a fresh ceramic wash job.

I literally spray on the entire truck. Have had zero issues on the outside trim.
