Just apply Ceramic coating booster like car pro reload or the new Mothers CMX every year to keep the paint hydrophobic

For the initial application of ceramic coating the paint needs to have a paint correction service performed then apply your ceramic coating

Yes you can wash it like a normal hand wash but dont go thru car washes that have brushes

You only apply reload or cmx once a year?
I would go 3 or 4 months max. Reload is one of my absolute favorite products but there os no way it lasts a year. I use reload or hydro2 every 3 months at most. Its cheap insurance and protection for a very expensive ceramic coat and paint correction

It is my understanding that if you have ceramic coating you should use a pH Balanced soap.

You are correct. So many misconceptions about ceramic coatings. They are really nice to have and look great but these coatings are far from no maintenance like many people think.
Ceramic coatings need to be maintained in order to achieve longevity. Ph neutral soap, hand washes, maintenance "topper" every few months, iron removal sprays, etc...bottom line is ceramic coatings are not even close to maintenance free.
That said it's still easier to properly maintain a vehicle that is ceramic coated than if it is not.

This. I had my Grand Cherokee done and don’t regret it one bit, pretty much the shop mentioned exactly the same as to how to take care of it.

That looks really good!!!! Nothing like that deep wet gloss of ceramic. Looks like you're doing your part to maintain it.

I have been really impressed with GTechniq Crystal Serum Light topped with Exo.

Thanks. I tried it out on the 4Runner last fall with good results. The gloss from Exo is ridiculous

The truck only has 71k original miles and the paint looks as good as when it was purchased from the dealer

There's absolutely no clear coat damage whatsoever !!!!

Some of that factors in on location and how the vehicle has been take cares for. I see numerous vehicles with clear failure and you can tell the vehicle was never maintained.

    DIY is possible.
    A garage, good lighting
You need a decent DA polisher, you could get a harbor freight DA but get a lake country 5 inch backing plate
    Time
    2 or 3 microfiber cutting pads 5.5"
2 or 3 microfiber or foam polishing pads 5.5"
    Patience
1 or 2 foam finishing pads
    Pad cleaner and microfiber detergent
    Beer
    Good wash soap and mitts
    Lots of good microfiber towels
    Time
Clay towel or mitt with clay lube
A good IPA solution like carpro eraser
Compound-carpro clear cut or megs m105
    Time and patience
Polish carpro -essence (not essense+) could also use mega m205 but essense gives you more shine, called jeweling, and is a great primer for ceramic, you dont need to wipe car down between essense and ceramic
    Beer
Ceramic coat- carpro cquartz or you could go cheaper but it wont last as long ( something like Dallas paint correction sheild)
    And more time and beer
    I'm sure I missed a few things.
