Sorry, I shared a very old comparison video. This one is the newest to date.
Scott H. has a lot of YouTube vids dealing with exterior paint and trim protection.

Please clarify what type of ceramic you are referring to. Now days their are many spray on products called ceramic, when in fact they are more of a sealant. These products are fine as a stand alone or booster but do not have the longevity of a traditional ceramic.

I have used Optimum GlossCoat, Carpro Cquartz, and GTechniq Crystal Serum Light topped with Exo. All were easy for me to work with and use.

If you're looking for a ceramic spray, I'd go with something like Gyeon Can Coat. If you're looking for a true ceramic coating, then I'd suggest either Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light (CSL) (plus their topper, EXO) or CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 (plus their topper, Gliss). CSL/EXO is slightly easier to use, but they are both good products.

I love this stuff on the black plastic like bedside caps, grill, mirrors, fog light bezels, etc.
Doesn't run off and streak after rain like 303 or other protectants.

The sprays are not a substitute for doing it properly. Properly means using a professional product which seems to elude most DIY folks. But here’s a good mid level product that will last 3 years or more and you can do it at home. Price depends on where you buy it. Amazon is ripping people off look at the price.

I went directly to a detail supply store, it’s where the detail shops get their products and it’s one of 3 in town. Buying this way is always more cost effective and these guys live on what they sell. If their products are shit business goes away period. To get the most out of the ceramic coatings take the time to use the professional products then take some care to not scratch when washing and here’s the trick.
Use the ceramic spray about 3 times a year to protect the base coat. If you do this it will last for years.

the difference in prices is amazing isn’t it ? Avoid buying consumer level products, turtle wax, mothers, griot, etc, etc. the professional quality stuff is better. Shop around.

I used Adams Graphene Ceramic Coating October 2020. Very easy to apply and keep clean.

Did you use the spray or the non spray kit? If you used the kit, did you clay bar and all? Thanks.

This is what I used. Prior to applying, I used the Adams medium clay bar. Now each week I follow the wash with the Adams Graphene Detail Spray or Adams CS3. Both help maintain the hydrophobic properties of the coating.

    The entire process included:

    1. Strip wash
    2. Clay bar
    3. Machine compound
    4. Machine polish
    5. Surface prep wipe down
    6. Coating application and removal

About 12 hours total but worth it!

Nice! Sounds like a lot of work and I’m sure it’s worth it.
I just need to use up the waxes(CG butter, Wet wax and TW Ceramic spray) I have now first.

I am no expert with detailing, but am not new to it. I have found researching about detailing to be quite a rabbit hole and of course on top of that detailing is no quick matter.
However, I am new to a 2021 TRD sport though as of last week so I have been trying to get together a system that will work while living in an apartment without a garage. I finally settled on going with the Gary Dean method with ONR and using Meguiar's Hybrid Spray Ceramic Wax after to obtain the protection I want to my truck. I realize this isn't a typical "real" ceramic coating like Cquartz, but I hope this product ends up being everything it has been made out to be on the internet. When the truck is too dirty for a rinse less wash I am thinking of still doing the Gary dean, but at a coin wash with something like Meguiar's gold class instead of ONR and topping off with the spray ceramic.

I also use Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax after a good cleaning with a neutral PH car soap. It's going to last me over a year. (I keep my truck in a garage, and only put on about 5 to 6K miles a year.) The HCSW is easy to apply, inexpensive, and readily available at several stores in my city. I'm going to decontaminate and wax it once a year anyway, so why use something that is more than what I need, more money, and more of a hassle?

I had mine undercoated got the fabric protection and most importantly Ceramic coated. I am trying to find the best truck/car soap with no wax in it. Any recommendations?

I didn't know that car wash soaps had wax in them. Which ones do?
