Vented windows and rood rack are the two options I'm fully committed to.
P.S. your truck is sweet man, hopefully one day mine will look close to that!

Hey BS Country, I have the Century Crown model on mine. Like it a lot. I was told they are actually made by Leer. Just don't have a lifetime warranty. But I bought the truck used anyway. Good find on CL. I looked on there too before buying one new.

Ive got a Century topper, never even heard of century until I saw it on CL. If I were to do it again I would buy new with windoors, used market with windoors is pretty much zero

Well mine only have one option and that's the fold down front window so if you get carpet you'll be above mine that's for sure. Slim pickings in the used market lol

Chandler - what rack is that on your front cab?

Big Sky - I see no difference between 100xl and ultra sport. Look closely at warranty and dealer availability.

Here's a leer, also got it used on CL. I think its a 100R, has carpeted interior, LED lights, sliding screen windows. Wish I had at least one windoor, but I may search aftermarket on that and add it myself at some point.

I just spent the past week pricing shells. I found that for nearly all the same amenities, there has been quite the price difference. I don't know aboutSnugtopbecause I would have to drive 2 hours away to even look at them.

For a second to top of the line shell, which included the side sliding Windows and the frameless curved glass in back, as well as pet screens on the sides, front sliding drop down window, carpet headliner and roof tracks they were priced as follows:

    ARE X series $2502
    Raider Vagabond Elite $2342
    Lakeland (Wisco company) $2260
    Leer XR $2140
    Century Ultra Sport $1929

Those prices include everything including install.

Leer own both Century and Raider. They even have the same guys that does the video for all of them. If you compare the Leer video to the Century video, I'm pretty sure they use the same Ram truck with the same shell only they change the sticker from Leer to Century.

    I ordered a Century and can't wait!!!

The XL has the frameless side windows and the ultra sport has the sliding framed windows. Leers XL is similar to Century's Royal and their XR is similar to Century's Ultra Sport. I'm pretty sure the warranties are the same.
Another noticeable difference is that Century has an upside down tear drop handle on the rear window instead of leers rectangular one.

Here's my Leer 100R that came with the truck. It's fiberglass with sliding windows. It seems to be slightly too wide for the truck and the color is just slightly off. The mounting holes for the retaining bolts have cracked on one side but it still seems to seat fine. Oh, and, it's fairly waterproof. I get a small leak at the tailgate...but that could just be the tailgate.

$625 to have Maaco paint it? Keep looking around! You can get a much better place to paint that thing for you and probably even cheaper

For my 2009 I bought a Century and was very happy with it, this isn't the greatest photo to show it but gives a pretty good idea:

After buying the truck new I was shopping around for a cap and found this one at a dealer 3.5 hours away, but in the next town over from my cabin. It was white and selling at a discount due to a couple small scratches on the frame of the rear window. I paid $700 for the cap and they arranged to have it painted the same day as it was installed, color matched to the truck for $200. Pretty basic no front slider, no windoors or liner but well built and well fitting and served me well for 4.5 years. I totaled that truck in a rollover and was amazed at how the cap survived the accident, no broken windows, no cracks just a couple deep scratches on the driver's side where the truck came to rest. I even entertained buying back the cap from the insurance company ($200), but being the middle of winter and with me not having settled on a replacement truck yet, let it go. Ultimately they auctioned with the truck, truck was rebuilt and is running today with the Century cap still on it and looking good.

I replaced my 2009 with a 2013 and started shopping for a cap again. My preference was to go with a 180 style mid-rise cap this time. I didn't think I'd find a deal on used but looked online for a month. I found one 2 hours away matching what I thought I'd have to order new. This time it was a Leer with a front slider and a near perfect color match. For $700 it was not hard to pull the trigger on this one:

Overall finish seems very close to the Century. If there is one place the Leer has the edge it seems to be along the front rail along the cab. Unless I'm imagining it the bottom of the cap drops down a bit lower to match the box rail. On the Century there was another piece or two of foam used to close this gap.

    Good luck.

I just saw a Maaco ad on TV yesterday for the paint job of a whole vehicle for 299. Granted it's probably not going to be showroom quality but may be good for a cap.

That's what I'm saying! No way would I spend $625 to have a cap painted and especially not at Maaco. They should be much cheaper
