Hello I have a 2005 two door tacoma that i love but the center console latch broke so the center console doesn't stay closed. Does anyone know what part this is? Any suggestions or remedies for this issue?

    Thank you!

Unfortunately there is not part number! You will need to either find one a yunk yard or buy the entire center console.

@Mariotaco @ChemDawg thank you guys looked into to it today I am missing that part to do the fix as listed on the site. Turns out Toyota will now let you buy the console lid with the clip for a little over $100. What a rip off.

what he said. I bought a used 09 DC last Dec and its console latch was broken, they had to replace the entire console (which was ok with me)

Is it one of these parts?

You can search the Camelback Toyota Parts website and typically come up with the part you need using their part numbers and diagrams.

Best to start from scratch though as each model can be different. Above are just examples.

The fix is quite is easy and will take you about 30 min.. All you need is a small drill bit, 2 screws, and a spring. It's been 3 months since I did the fix on mine and haven't had a problem since. I saved 100 Dollars for beer money hahaha https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/center-compartment-latch-repair.65554/
