I like/ use the Hondo Garage mount. Works well, holds phone solidly.

‘21 OR, so not sure if your AC vents are the same.

Edit to add photo. Clamps the the rotating portion of the vent, so the rotation becomes locked once you install the mount, but the “fins” of the vent remain useable.

Mine doesn’t rattle without a phone in it like the other poster mentioned.

    Wireless charging?

I grabbed a cheap apple magsafe chase and ripped the metal ring out and now use our magsafe chargers. Just pop the phone on and go.

Being that I have wired Android auto I have to plug in now anyways. I used the magsafe for a while but now use a Steelie magnetic mount for both my phone and my tablet.

I also use the Hondo Garage vent mount. Super solid. The only thing I don't like about it is it rattles if u don't have a phone in it.

I'm not positive but it looks like your phone mount is a Ram Mount. I have the Perfect Squeeze from Hondo Garage. It's the Perfect Squeeze that rattles in my truck if a phone is not mounted in it. The Hondo Garage vent mount is solid.

I have the Course Motorsports mount. I think it's great, easy install, simple design, and I like the location.

The fuck's the matter with you son! Us TacomaWorlders don't use the shit that came WITH our truck. We must buy aftermarket accessories that do the exact same thing.

The old-school Garmin Nuvi GPS bracket happens to fit all my phones with rubber bumper case: https://www.amazon.com/BOROLA-Replacement-Holder-Bracket-Cradle/dp/B07GZDT87N/

That opens up all the dash mounts which use the 17mm Garmin ball joint. I use two of these, they attach to the dash with 3M VHB tape: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00BLSBYPK/

They hold the phones securely when I jump the truck at Silver Lake.

Here's the weird part. Every single car I have ever owned has had either a cell phone holder or a hardwire kit. Every one, from the leather bound purse phone, to the Motorola brick, through my Nokia phase, and all the way up to my second iphone.

The Tacoma is the one and only vehicle where I haven't ever had a desire for a cellular mount. Something about already having a couple of dashboard screens in my face kind of negated my want for more.

So yeah, it's the one thing I haven't modded. Qi pad crew for life, fool!

    Oh look, another mod....

Fun Fact: I always use my Qi pad as the spot to place/hold my cell phone, but I have never used it to charge my cell phone (I have Motorola G Power model phones, and you can't wirelessly charge them). However, even though I've never used it, I had to get the damn thing replaced!

The pad bubbled up and my local dealership had to replace it. There was a TSB on it, so it was easy to do. Anywho, yeah....I just toss my phone on that pad when I hop in the truck and forget about it.

When I'm in my truck, I have more important things to do than staring at the screen of my phone. You know, like....driving and paying attention to the road!

Well, that and the road head.

I dunno. I've been lucky. Mines never blistered and all of my phones could take a charge. Several galaxy's and now I'm on a pixel.

I believe you though. A lot of people have complained about the bubbling issue. Like a lot a lot.

Let me tell you from experience, this site is NOT for the poors. Seriously, go pick up a book, or an HBO subscription, or a coke habit, anything but browsing TW.

It doesn't matter what your budget is, you will stumble across some mod that you can't live without. And then as soon as that hits your door and you say to yourself "ok, no more truck toys", boom, someone in here is selling four speakers and an amp for 200 bucks.

Well shit, I gotta have that, but no more!

No wait, someone else is selling a righteous seat heater kit for 80, and damn, there's a bed mat for 60, and fuck, there's a cat shield for 180...

    Ok that's it, no more.

Oh, there's a black Friday sale on shocks... Oh, and there's a screaming deal on a bumper...:annoyed:

    :spending:

You're young. It's not too late for you. Run. Run while you can.

You are correct, it’s a Ram attached to a Hondo Mount.
