My CBI sliders were just delivered today, looking to install next week after the holidays. Checked through my hardware to compare against the install PDF from their website and found extra bolts, washers, etc. I'm guessing this is because I'm installing on a DCLB and the PDF is tailored to a short bed. I also do not have the J hooks mentioned but two of the pieces in the photo. Have the instructions changed since the PDF was published?

If those are anything like my sliders those go in the furthest forward bolt holes as they are a pita to get a wrench on otherwise.

Thanks for the reply. I know from install videos I'll have to reach quite a ways forward inside of the frame to thread those front bolts. The extension rod is welded to the bolt head though so I guess the nut will go on the outside of the frame. Did your silders use shorter J hooks?

I recently installed CBI sliders on my 23 DCSB, they had the J hooks, one on each side.

Did you have the long-armed pieces as well?

Yes, but they go towards the front. The J hooks are to the rear.

Hi, I just did this exact CBI slider install on my 2019 DCLB about 2 weeks ago.

I reached out to CBI since I thought the j hooks were missing however, they confirmed they are not necessary for the long bed installation. The wire welded to the bolt/ washer is so you don't have to shove your arm deep into the front of the frame, nut goes on the outside.

One tip is to keep the front bolts loose and have someone stand on the slider while you tighten the bolts down, if you do not do this the slider will make contact with the cab.

After my install, I had quite a few nuts, bolts, and washers left over but I definitely put hardware in all the possible spots on my frame. Overall quite an easy installation. Good luck!

Just heard back from CBI and they told me the same thing: J hooks aren't part of the DCLB installs. Good to know. After you got the front bolts tighter down, what did you do with the extension arms inside of the frame?

The arm stays attached to the bolt inside the frame. Make sure the arm is either on the top or bottom part of the frame as you tighten the bolt down or else you won't be able to put the black plastic frame cap back on.

No problem man, happy to help! I struggled finding instructions specifically for the CBI sliders on a DCLB and decided to just figure it out as I attempted to install them. Super happy with how they turned out
