Cavalry Blue

Hi everyone - I have just become a new member of Tacoma World and wanted to say hello!

I bought a 2019 Calvary blue Tacoma last year and I have to say I absolutely love it. When I park or am at traffic lights both men and women shout over that they love the color and that its so unusual and beautiful. I'm so glad I chose it!! I never thought I would buy a truck in my life and I am so pleased I did. My nephew has just retired from being head of Toyota Quality Control for Europe and he said I could not have chosen a more reliable truck and one that will keep its value over the years.

I saw from a previous thread that people either love or hate this color. The only other Calvary blue Tacoma I have seen since I bought mine drove past me about a month ago and honked and waved. I think we must be in an elite club ;-))

Are you sure they are calling out your truck? . I kid. I kid.

I must admit that I have only seen one Tacoma in this color (never even saw it on a dealer lot) and it looked really sharp. I would not have been my first choice but seeing in in person I have to agree.

One side, don't be a dummy like me. I got lazy and someone helpfully pointed out that "Calvary" was a place that didn't end well for a certain historical / religious figure. But "Cavalry" was inspired by the soldiers and is, in fact, the name of the Toyota color. Funny right?

I only offer that up in the spirit of light hearted banter ... and because I made that mistake first!

Denim is killer color. I wish it was around in 2017.


Watch out though. The Cavalry crowd will be on the hunt.

 

We're just aware that every other color is inferior is all.

 

I am with you there, except for that 2nd Gen dark blue.

I was a red hater until I saw mine and get jokes about that from friends.


Although, my post was mainly about the speeling.

My 3rd gen 4runner is painted in Cavalry blue. I'm biased, best color!

 

I am also in an elite club.....the super white club. Probably more white Tacoma owners than any other color. Oh wait, that didnt come out right....
