Carven catback

Some love'em and some hate'em. But when Carven website offered 15% off their 304 stainless exhaust for the Tacoma, I grabbed it. Sounds great! (My opinion) and fit/finish/materials and welds are top shelf.

 

I got the carven exhaust since I got my truck in 2020 and I still enjoy it

Hundreds of audio exist online already. Not to mention NO exhaust recorded or played over a phone sounds like live.

 

Zero at this point. Idk if these change sound as they "break in", but others with the same exhaust have had little to none also, with systems older than mine.

Hardly. Less loud then MBRP (junk) , flowmaster or aFe. Or any (axle dump) style. And yes, I've personally heard all thw mentioned. Of course, each label makes several styles of muffler.

 

Had my carven for maybe 1+ years, still like it a lot

Just my humble opinion; my truck is loud enough on the inside with all the road noise. I don't want to amplify anything else.

 

This exhaust was on my truck when I purchased it. Not a fan, so it goes to the muffler shop in a couple weeks to get a larger muffler installed.

Kinda less of a here's my loud exhaust post and more of a post giving my opinion of the fit/finish/quality for those who are looking to do the same.
Some people have some tender ears if they believe this exhaust is "loud". Deeper tone, yes. Or maybe I was around field artillery too long and lost some hearing. Either way.....

Have you tried using sound deadener around the cab? Helps a ton.

 

I feel the same way about quad cabs and long beds.

 

I need to try the pool noodle between the cab and the truck bed. Folks on here say it works pretty good.
