Carhartt Precision Fit: did they send the wrong passenger side?

Any help from people that own. Driver's side looks awesome. Passenger side looks different and isn't making a lot of sense to connect. It is like super small too.

Looks like you may have ordered seat covers for the fold-flat passenger side option. It has a plastic piece that would fit through the hole in the back of the seat cover, but your truck doesn’t have this.

That would be my guess.

 

Yep. You have TRD seats and SR5/base seat covers.

 

Yep, that’s also why they don’t fit right at the top. The TRD seats have those hunchback lumps on each side of the headrest. The fold flat seats do not.

Yep. Look at how crappy it fits at the top.

 

What about the back seat? Will that still work?

Back seat is the same on all models. Only fronts differ.

There was no TRD option. I chose prerunner, as I don't have a base nor an Xrunner. Which option should I have chosen??

 

Prerunner with sport bucket seats.

All of the TRD off roads and TRD sports come with what they call “sport seats”.

 

Contacted AutoAnything, fairly easy process for an error on my fault with no restocking fees incurred or anything.

Appreciate all the advice and tips, as I have since ordered a replacement front seat set to include the PreRunner with sport seats, lumbar support, airbags, etc. I think he said there was a lead time of only about three weeks this go around, which is awesome. I'll be sure to update pics once arrival.

But once again, really appreciate the insight!

Oddly enough, when I ordered my seat covers, I checked my VIN with Toyota and it had the fold flat passenger seat listed even though I have an Off Road. I ordered the ones for the fold flat pass. seat and to no surprise, they didn't fit. I returned them and got the correct ones, but I'm still scratching my head about this discrepancy....
