Alright, new 2020 Double Cab, added the Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover. Looking for a cargo box to keep in the bed. I have two kids so storage in the cab is not a great option but I would like to carry around a few things and keep them organized. What are you guys using for this?

I keep an Action Packer in the bed for a few tools, lights, tie straps, and an air compressor. It was inexpensive and it’s easy to move around when carrying other stuff in the bed.843FC180-2FF8-465B-A1CE-35D8CBBD314E.jpg

I have the same questions. I have a factory locking tonneau cover and power locking tailgate. I use my truck for work and plan to keep lots of stuff secure yet accessible in the bed. I have a couple storage bins strapped in on either side behind the wheel well right now but I’m not sold on them. I’m considering nets or dividers, and concerned about reaching anything stored at the front of the bed. Love to see what others have done.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
It really depends on if you want it removable. With the tonneau cover, you could get away with a Rubber Made tote like @Taco1701 suggest and just strap it in to keep it from sliding. This, by far, is the cheaper option plus if you ever need your full bed you can just pull it out. If you're looking for something a little more permanent then what @tomwil or I did could work. Up until last fall, I used my truck for work and needed a toolbox to store things in. Now I use the truck for Search and Rescue and still store all my gear in the box. If you decide on the permanent option Protech toolboxes are some of the best you can get, but they ain't cheap. The picture is old (it doesn't look near this shinny any more) but here's mine.

I considered the toolbox, but I do want it removable. Ideally be able to take a few simple things out if I need the full bed.

If you're looking for a cheap alternative I can tell you these work really well for me.
There are higher quality ones out there certainly but I've used these cheap buggers for years and they have held up great.
Two of them fit good side-by-side under the tonneau and they have wheels on one end. I'd suggest a bed mat also to help holding them in place if you don't already have one.

Capture+_2020-07-17-08-06-10.jpg I use one of these under my bakflip for recovery gear and stuff. Super cheap, pretty sturdy, mostly water resistant. They are often on sale for around 25 bucks.

The Plano like above. Could fit quite a few of those.

I ran undercover swing cases on my gen two for a while before I went with a mid height bed rack. they worked really well and are waterproof.

Whoa, never seen a Red Plano before. I like it! I also use a smaller Plano than the one pictured. For the $ you can't beat them. They offer great protection, and aren't so good looking that they will attract thieves.

Was $8 at academy a couple years ago. Nobody likes the bright colors. I need to get a few more for a good price.

Academy Plano-Mine warped in the sun/heat and is now no longer weather proof.

Mine stays under the tonneau, has been for years and no issues, I wouldn't see it as weather proof to begin with. Doesn't have any seals. They can hold a good bit of weight, mine is roughly 100lbs loaded up.

I’ll second the swing case. Out of the way and easy to remove if need be. Passenger side is a snap. Driver’s side took a bit of DIY

I have that same case for camping gear. Been using it for years.

I’m going to check out these and Plano cases. Much closer to what I’m looking for than the bins I currently have in there.

Could you elaborate a bit more on this? I've been looking at these and trying to find people here on TW that use them. I need a bit of extra storage (not a ton) and I want something small and out of the way yet secure and waterproof. These seem to hit on all of that, however I read something from somewhere (I can't recall where) that the driver's side on a Tacoma didn't really work too well. Also how was drilling into metal? That's the biggest drawback for me - I don't want to drill into my truck but I do need storage.
