I think I want a wrap..carbon fiber looking maybe? on my roof and hood...will that help prevent rust? and I think it will look cool. speaking of rust prevention, I'll need an undercoat soon as well. fluid film I hear is the best..DIY though? do I need any special tools?:humble:thanks !

    Faux C.F. is very 00's rice-a-roni.

But the frame protection is important. Focus on that. Many threads around on various techniques people use.

lol ok thanks and yes I will always protect my frame, just wondering if I can do it myself or if I'm better off getting it done by professional, also which brand and technique is the best and lasts the longest

Don’t order the wrap off eBay get the better quality vinyl. Get a felt edge squeegee so you don’t gouge/scratch the vinyl. If it’s getting cold wherever you are at e heat gun will help get the film relaxed. Here’s how I did my hood

1st U have 2 B honest with yourself - do U do your own maintenance now - oil, zerks, filters, antifreeze, brakes, rotors etc - if no then no to your frame unless you want to buy a bunch of stuff - you will need ramps, you will need to hose off the dirt, let it dry and a bunch of spray cans unless you want to invest in a compressor and gun. So it's according to how munch work U R willing 2 do and how much U R willing to invest.

I always thought the point of carbon fiber was to replace a part to make your car/truck lighter/stronger. I guess it’s just opinion, but I wouldn’t wrap a hood in it, I’d replace the hood with a CF hood.

I'm having rust problems on my roof as well (to the point where the metal is almost gone), but I'm getting it painted along with the hood next month.

I should be outside with a spray can and a tub of wax.

Carbon fiber, are space crafts still made of carbon fiber? It's a matter of taste, but anyone who recognizes carbon fiber will know it isn't actually carbon fiber.

I occasionally float the duck hunter look, I like the swamp grass rocker wrap.
