    Hello!

Just ordered a leer 122 and I’m excited to start camping in my truck bed. Wondering about solutions to fully black out and insulated cap windows? Ideally a solution that can be put in and taken out easily. This would be for stealth camping, staying warmer when cold, and to stop prying eyes from seeing anything inside.

    Thanks in advance!

velcro curtain type covers? DIY materials from a fabric store? Seems like that could work.

Yep, if your shell is carpeted (hopefully if you plan to camp in it), the easiest is just some Velcro but it's hard on the cheap carpet they use. I lost my curtains in a move (or maybe they're still in a box somewhere) but when I needed something a while back I just cut some pieces of Reflectix to fit, sprayed them with adhesive and put black fabric on them and stuck some Velcro tabs on them. From the outside it just looks like dark tinted windows. On the rear window I just stuck some loop pieces on the glass and cut a piece to fit. Kinda ghetto but it works so I haven't gotten around to making more curtains (I need to get another sewing machine too). They work great for stealth camping other than ventilation- they absolutely suck for that so I usually double a piece of mosquito netting, open the front window and hang the netting over the opening while running a small battery powered fan. Still sucks, but better than nothing, you just have to be careful about light discipline if you're trying to be stealthy.

Reflectix works great and easy to use for stuffing windows temporarily.
