That cover looks very nice. How much would something like that cost?

I bought my "SE" cover a little over a year ago so prices have probably changed. I called diamondback directly and placed the order. The cover + expedited order charge (I needed it rushed) + freight from PA to SoCal was a little over 1K. A little over a year later, I just spray it off and it still shines like new.

They also have a "HD" version that can carry 1600 pounds on top -a bit overkill for the taco. Within the last year they introduced the "LT" which is much lighter if you don't want to stand on it or haul. I see they now offer a "270" and "180" if you want your panels configured differently than mine.

They really are nice covers. I've had guys and even women stop me to ask about it -usually after they see me stomping around on top or after flipping up the forward panel.

The only other two diamondback covers I have seen in the wild are two buddies with the HD version on their full size dodge diesels. The HD cover on a full size truck is a vault on wheels. ;)

The diamond plate reflects the sun and the box stays nice and cool but some people get them textured or painted to match their truck. They updated their site so I'm not sure if they still have the gallery of user submitted images.

IT's a great looking cover...and I bet some of the other company's will fall in line to open up either front or back or both. It made my mind up on what I will get when that day comes....

Price/install/weight/mpg increase/durability is by far the best of all. Hard tonneau is better but too pricey IMO

Soft tonneau is perfect for me because I can roll it up and out of the way in seconds. I haul a lot of furniture and other large items, so a hard tonneau or cap would constantly be in the way.

I had a hard cap on my 02 tacoma, I liked it a lot. Good for camping and storing and moving. I would like to eventually get one for my 2010. If you do work to your truck, such as lifting and generally making it overall look nicer, I think the cap can look very cool.

I purchased a Access Limited roll up tonneau from Truck Alterations and i love it! Looks great and fits my needs. Keeps the bed dry once the tailgate seal was applied.
