I can't shift out of park. The ABS light came on as well as the traction light. The reset got me moving again. Also the cruise light just blinks when I set it then hit the brakes. All the fuses are intact. Anyone have any ideas?

I can now after hitting the reset with a screwdriver, but this has happened multiple times in the last few weeks

you gotta grease this little shift widget that sits on your tranny under the truck, it's probably better described in one of the links above.

I had this same thing happen yesterday when trying to leave work. Truck ran perfectly fine on my way to work in the morning. Came out at 5:00pm to not being able to shift out of park and my ABS and traction control lights were on. I was able to press the little release button to get home. Did some diagnosing this morning.
All 3 brake lights were not working.
Checked all fuses, nothing blown. Unplugged and plugged back in the brake switch light.
After this, I went for a test drive, and it shifted and drove perfect. No ABS lights, no traction control lights. All 3 brake lights work perfect.

Could it have been a "loose" fuse or a poor connection with the brake switch light? I was surprised what I did actually worked. However, we will see how long it actually works, in case the symptoms reappear.

I was prepared to replace the brake switch light, which I think was going to fix it. I guess time will tell if what I did continues to work.

Just thought some of you having the same issues would like to know what worked for me.

Defective or an improperly adjusted brake light switch. If it isn't closed the brake lights will not come on and you will not be able to shift out of park unless you press the override button under the cover. If it is stuck closed the cruise will not engage.

So I had this keep happening to me about once every week or two, and I got really annoyed. Today I bought a new "stop light switch" as Autozone called it. $23. Replaced it, and all seems to be good now. (Knocks on wood). So we shall see.
