Canadian Tacoma's are so expensive!

I guess the Canadian dollar does not go as far as it used to. Sorry.

Folks in Alberta are going to need to increase oil output.

 

Holy!!!! Quite different pricing to what I paid in ON in the fall

 

$58,988 CDN = $46,787 USD.
$64,997 CDN = $51,498 USD.

Then Canadian dealers load up the trucks with Toyota accessories and lifts and tires to the average of $10,000 over MSRP. They make more money selling the accessories than the trucks. The other thing is right now they are having difficultly getting inventory so they are price gouging on the few units they get in. Have to pay for the Dealerships Principles private jet one way or the other.

Says something about the trucks though. The demand outstrips the supply.

 

Dealers pushing the "custom" anything for $10k CAD ontop of MSRP.

I had one that hydro dipped some plastics, (interior trim, hood scoop grille/grating, little accents) and said it costs over $8k.
I just had to laugh.

But the thing is, someone will want it. Someone will pay for it. Hopefully the are happy with what their hard earned Trudeau Rubles bought them.
I was told that there is a "market adjustment" coming of about $5K+ ontop of MSRP for TRD models. Don't know how much truth there is to that value.

I bought my 2016 trd or in November 2015... it has 95 k kms on it now, and I could probably sell it for what I paid for it. crazy price appreciation....reminds me of my pinball machines.

 

Those are just jazzed up Tacomas to make the dealer some extra cash from some suckers. It's certainly not a representation of the overall prices in Canada and not anything that doesn't happen in the US either.

I've got a Pro coming for less than either of those trucks.


Our dollar does suck though.

 

Those are marked up big time, I traded in my 2017 and picked up a 2021 double cab TRD OR for $44k

They gave me $34k because I had an accident on record. Truck was just over 75k I'm. Now I got a 2021 all paid for with android auto/car play. They also changed something in the transmission programing, drives even better.

 

Of course no pol talk but it sure affects everyone's lives...

 

Nice. when i bought my 2016, i had a 2005 trd or access to trade. It was really nice and in excellent shape. They offered me 7500, so I said no, and I sold it in 2 hours on kijiji for 13k.
Bought my 2016 for 37-38.... forget... but it was 44k including tax. I see them all the time for 37 ish now...

 

It’s because the Canada-only “windshield washer fluid low” reservoir sensor. Takes the chaps at the factory at least a couple extra days to fit it to the truck. Then there’s all the security so no one gets to learn the secret of its operation before the trucks make it across the border.

Last August out the door for $50000. Sport 4 door with the best premium package. Truck listed for $45250 in Ontario.
