One of my stations I was listening to (Chan 18) moved to 311.
Its still in the same package, it just found a new permanent home.

I cant seem to tune the Entune system beyond the 200s in XM.....

My 2014 Nissan XM has no issues and that radio is obviously older so I was wondering if this is as far as the radio can tune or if others have been able to tune higher?

I have the Entune Premium but no the Premium JBL version and the software is up to date.

You cant tune past what is already preset for the radio. Some manufactures offered a higher bandwidth radio than others. Looks like ours does not meet the bandwidth requirements to go past the 200 channels.

Well we have what is known as the "XM Platform" radio.
It's limited to the number of channels we can tune.

There are 3 different style of radios:

    Sirius Platform
    XM Platform
    SXM Platform

..my 2014 Nissan has the SXM platform and as such can tune into the 300s and beyond.

Cant really tell by the Radio ID, as it used to be all numeric for Sirius and Letters/Numbers for XM but now both the XM and SXM radios use the same
    style of Radio ID.

Sucks. I can't listen to yacht rock anymore either. I'll be looking to upgrade my radio unit. I wonder if any aftermarket head units work w the factory navigation etc?

It is what it is. At least I was able to offer an explanation as to why we couldnt listen to it.
Yet another thing Toyota appears to have dropped the ball on. Dont understand why in this case when a basic XM radio is old school.

Get SXM radios and you're covered.

Wow, I had no idea. I just assumed that was all the channels there were. Thanks for the info.

Definitely love XM after having it the past few years, I rarely listen to anything else. Now I wonder what I'm missing out on ha

Very strange that it wouldn't have a Sirius Xm tuner. The merger happened a long time ago and all new components should be in line with that

Each auto company seems to still 'pick' a favorite. Why they still make basic XM radios amazes me.
Everything should be SXM versions right now. You can usually tell by the button you need to press for SAT radio.
In our entune...its marked 'XM' - in my 2014 Rogue its marked 'SXM'.

So I reached out to Sirius and got the low down and posted it in this thread. I didnt know we actually had 3 different radios out there still being made!

And they wonder why the business is declining and auto manufactures aren't putting it in their new vehicles

My understanding is a few years back the after market radios came equipped to pick up all the Sirius XM channels. For this SiriusXM charged a higher fee. Sounds like the vehicle manufacturers are still putting in either Sirius or XM turners. If you look at the SirtiusXM web site this is all explained.

YES! Yacht rock is my favorite. It was on channel 70 part time(which went back to the "love" channel, and now is Christmas music). If I really want to listen to Yacht rock(or any channel we can't access with the factory head unit), I use the Sirius XM app on my phone and play it across the bluetooth.

This is exactly what I have been doing.
Right now Sirius seems to have some promo $25 for 6mo for Select Package AND included streaming.
It doesn't get better! - But my sub isnt due until 2/18.

Most of the time the music doesn't match the head unit display (shows JoJo for several songs) - but the music plays fine.
If you crank the bit rate up to high or maximum, I think the sound is almost MP3 quality vs the crappy over the air squished sound.

    Hey guys,

I know this is an old thread and I'm sure y'all have figured it out but i called Sirius and found a solution. It depends on the dealer, but most of them will swap your XM radio with a SXM radio for free so you can have all the channels (including streamed ones) so you never miss out on your favorites. Hope this helps.

@Roddy13 yup, I have an appointment next week to get it replaced for free. There is also a chance your radio just needs to be updated. Give your dealer a call if you have this problem!

Can someone tell me what radio the dealer installed in place of the XM radio? My dealer can't find the SirusXM replacement.
