So I scratched the hell out of my truck on my last off road trip getting through some brushy areas. It's charcoal grey so the scratches really stand out. Gave it a good wash and tried a clay bar and it didn't really do anything exepct to the lightest scratches. Then I tested out a rubbing compound and it worked, but now I'm worried it may be too aggressive. It didn't appear to damage the paint, but i'm not an expert in these things.

I don't have a buffer so i'm just doing this by hand, which is going to be a workout, but i'd be too afraid of using any kind of power buffer/polisher and doing damage.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Use a polish compound with a clean microfiber cloth and that should make the scratches less visible.

not much yet, I did tint the tail lights though.
Then follow up with a less aggressive polish. Then wax. Should turn out bueno.
