Hello, just looking for some input about my tacoma. I drive a 2000 tacoma SR5 and it is 2wd with 5lug wheels. Recently went to an offroading shop looking for a lift kit. Originally, I wanted 6-9 inch lift for my tacoma. They told me because I don't have 4wd and 6lug wheels, the highest lift I can get is maybe 2.5-3 inches at most. Looking for some input on if that is accurate/should I go to a different shop? And if that is my only option, is it even worth it to buy that lift? Will it make much of a difference, or should I just save my money and leave it how it is?

If you have reference pictures for recommendations I'd greatly appreciate it as well.

    Thank you!IMG_1341.jpg

What they said is correct, unless you are looking to go custom.
If you want a truck with 6-9 inches of lift, the best thing to do is sell it and purchase one with 6 lugs and 4wd.
That's a well kept 2WD so I imagine you can get a good amount for it.

That’s a good looking truck, I’d do some real suspension upgrades and maybe even lower it a little and make it drive great, a 6-9” lift is going to look stupid and drive like ass

I appreciate the input. I'll probably just hold onto this one and leave it as is and then maybe buy a 4wd down the road to lift.

Save your money and leave it how it is.

Anyways, 3" lift spindles and a 3" body lift is about all you are going to get.
You could stack them. But I don't recommend it.
