Can anyone please recommend a good Tacoma shop or mechanic in (central) Indiana?

    2.5" lift
Hi. New member, longtime lurker. I have a 2008 TRD Sport that I bought from my dad some years ago when he upgraded to a GenIII. My truck is in need of some general maintenance and repair that is out of my skill zone. Getting some strange noises and clunks and the steering feels a little off, but I'm unable to diagnose or repair. Recently changed the front and rear brakes and replaced the driver's rear axle seals while I was in there doing the brakes. Truck still makes odd noises and doesn't drive ideal, so it's time to try and find someone who can diagnose and repair. Truck is a long bed with a 2.5" suspension lift, about 180k on the odo. Really hoping someone here can direct me towards a mechanic or shop that is very familiar with Tacomas. Would most certainly prefer an independent shop/mechanic vs taking to a dealer. Need the whole truck gone over and repaired as needed. Thanks!

Can you elaborate when the clunks occur or what issues with the steering? More info on front and rear lift.

I have a friend in Flat Rock IL that I would recommend as well as the local Toyota dealer at Mattoon, I know most people don't like Toyota dealers, but our local one is very good. What city are you close to?

You don't need a toyota mechanic, you just need a good mechanic

    Toyotas aren't complicated
