I don't think so. 3M markets VHB for moldings and emblems. I'm not sure I'd trust even JB Weld (vs. fasteners) depending on how heavy the mirror is.

I may be mistaking VHB for another similar product by 3M, but on an episode of Engineering Catastrophe's or something similar, they talked about a skyscraper where the glass windows started to loosen and fall out of their "mounting points". The fix was 3M VHB, or similar double sided adhesive tape. The show went into a bit of detail about the tape used, and how it is basically an indestructible, forever type solution. It also allows for expansion/contraction with no loss in integrity/grip, which was ideal for the skyscraper windows, because they were loosening when their frames/mounts expanded due to the extreme heat in summers (wherever the building was located), and this tape allowed for the frame to expand/contract and the tape stretched without tearing or losing its hold on the glass panels.
