Yesterday I couldn’t start my truck due to a dead battery (it’s a separate parasitic drain issue with my anytime camera install I’m trying to figure out).

I got the jump but now I cannot roll the front passenger window up or down from the driver side. The passenger side switch works but the auto mode doesn’t work. The two rear windows go up and down just fine from the driver control.

Before you ask, it’s not locked.

Is there a fuse that could have blown while trying to start with a dead battery? Or a relay that could have been fried when trying to start with a dead battery and fluctuating voltage?

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
Same thing happened to me once but on the driver's side. No blown fuses or anything else out of sorts. Went out the next day and it fixed itself. That was over two years ago and it never happened again. I'll never know what happened.

reinitialize right front window. From right front door put window all the way down and keep holding switch down an extra few seconds. Then go all the way up and keep switch held an extra few seconds. Then try from driver's side.

If this doesn’t work, didn’t for me, then try this.

With the truck turned off get in the cab and hold both front window switches down from the drivers switch, put foot on brake pedal and start the truck while still holding the switches down. Windows should both go down right after start.

Is that the only issue? Radio works? AC works and isn't stuck on Defrost?

This. Every vehicle I’ve had with auto up/down windows has needed to be “reset” after changing batteries or a jump. Should be back to normal after this or some similar initialization procedure.

Have not dealt with this with Taco yet, but my wife's Subaru has this issue and I had to follow steps listed on the internet to reinitialize

From what you described, for me the problem is with small electrical motor for the front passenger's window (dead).

You read the part where the window rolls down from the passenger side switch right?

This was the solution. Such a simple fix for a problem I have literally never heard of. "The window needs to be rebooted" was never something I thought I'd say about a Tacoma.

Every vehicle with auto windows is like this. This includes auto sunroofs. Most vehicles will take a 3 second hold in each direction with the exception of Tesla its 10 seconds.

    Note: I now have a 2018 4Runner
Which is what it happened on. Thank you TX BAJA1. Every time my battery dies my R windows won’t work from L control panel. Last year when it happened a few months when by and they just happened to start working. Battery died this year (both times I did a jump but have a new battery since last year) and same thing- passenger windows wouldn’t work w driver control. Did the few seconds on hold down and up and worked like a charm!
