Can’t reset abs light no matter what I do

    I have a 2015 Tacoma offroad.

This morning the traction light and abs light came on out of no where.

    I jumped pins 4 and 13 and I’m getting codes 32 and 56

I tried resetting the codes via pumping the brake yet it won’t reset. What am I missing here? My assumption is the code should at least immediately reset and the abs light should go back to blinking 2 blinks per second until I shut the vehicle off. Then when I restart the vehicle if the fault is still present it should come back on. Why is my abs not resetting?

I pumped the brake 8 times in under 5 seconds and nothing changes if I pump 10-12 times the dash starts beeping and my brake light illuminates on the dash but the abs just continues to flash the codes

Is one of the sensors in the front spindle or rear hub damaged?

No sensor appears fine physically as does the wiring all the way up into the engine bay. If I can’t get it to reset though replacing the sensor isn’t going to do me any good as the code is still stored. So before I go out and buy a new sensor or harness I want to confirm I can reset the system

    ...too much shit to list.
If you happen to be near my hood, come by my house and we can hook it up to techstream and see what’s actually not working and clear any codes too.

Why not fix the problem instead of trying to turn the light off? If there is a problem trying to just turn the light off ain’t gonna fix it. Need to get the codes pulled and properly diagnose the problem

I pulled the codes see my first post. I have a sensor on order should be here tomorrow. However this post is about not being able to clear the code so tomorrow when I fix the problem (if it is a bad wheel sensor) the code is still going to be present and if I’m unable to clear the code I won’t know if the new sensor fixed the problem.

I found left front speed sensor for 32 and left front abs motor...on some older codes. I assume they are close to the same. maybe check your sensors and see if they are clean and nothing blocking the sensor?

I might just take you up on that. New sensor will be in tomorrow. I just checked the codes again and now I’m solely getting code 32. Code 56 didn’t pop up until I tried clearing the code. After my second attempt of clearing the code 56 came back on.

Yea I pulled the sensor and checked the connections all looked good no corrosion and then I checked the harness as well and no visible damage. I ordered a replacement sensor and it will be in tomorrow.

Interesting well I’ll find out tomorrow.

The walk through stated the reset would clear the code regardless and once you turn off and restart the vehicle if the problem wasn’t fixed then the code would come back.

I’ll post up my results once I replace the sensor

Hard faults won't clear until it's repaired.

Once you fix the issue it will actually clear itself.

Replaced the sensor fault is still there and still can’t reset the code. Which I still think is odd because multiple threads I’ve read have said code should reset regardless of fault. Says code should clear and then when the vehicle begins moving and is running if fault is still present light will come back on.

So from here I’m going to replace the harness between the sensor and the module in the hood of that doesn’t fix it I’ll take it to the dealer

Why not just pull the real codes instead of throwing parts at it?

Did you replace the sensor or the harness? Is the tone ring there? Is it cracked? Lots more to this than just throwing parts at a truck

I replaced the sensor, now I’m replacing the harness.

I haven’t inspected the tone ring yet
