I'm in market for a camper shell. I installed a soft top recently but it looks like I need more height. What brand do you have and how much did you pay? These truck have no bed lock, perhaps, the camper-shell lock can help?
    Any pictures?

Also any TRD pro owners with camper shell out here?

Snug Top XTR was about $2500. I had it installed, added a full Bed Rug which was installed at the same time, and had the top rails on the shell powder coated. Fold down front window & Pro Lock latch upgrade. Total was just under $3100. 1st Inferno Shell that Snug Top had done.

I have a A.R.E. Z which I paid 1950 OTD. It included the front flip down window but that is the only add on I got. In regards to security it only takes a thief a fraction of a second more to steal from a cap. It makes the theft noisier because they have to break or pop the glass. Overall I couldn't live without it even though the Tacoma looks better without one in my opinion...sorry I only have a sport.

Sliding folding front, carpeted, pet screens, installed and wired up ~1850 otd

Expensive. Wish one if these companies would design a cap specifically to compliment the lines of the Tacoma rather than carry 4-10 models and size them for different trucks.

Do not forget to keep checking Craigslist. I got a Leer 100xr with all the same as the above poster. But paid $400 or $450, had to use my own resources for wiring it up though. It was the right color too, took a couple months to find though.

ok, I'm finding a few used ones on CL. Any estimate on color matching it to my truck? Also, where to buy the paint from?

I just payed $150 for an ARE CX on Craigslist. By the time I have it painted ($450) and replace a few items I will have $850 in it. The same top new was $1837 OTD.

I was looking for months on CL before I purchased mine brand new. If I could have found one in my exact color I would have picked it up. I chose new because after spending the money to repaint it I would be at 45% of a brand new one without a warranty. I plan on keeping my truck ten years or more and statically speaking I am going to have a warranty issue in ten years. If you don't plan on keeping the truck long I suggest saving money but if you plan to have it long I would suggest otherwise (unless its the exact color). Just my .02...

2 in spacer lift front 2, in AAL rear [tundra leaf] , flip up tow mirrors, ARE shell electric brake controller and cooper ATP 265/r70x16 tires on stock TRD wheels
ARE Z it was on another truck on the dealers lot same color as truck I was negotiating. dealer gave it to me and charged $150 labor to install and wire brake lite and electric door lock. It is just cab high but has enough to sleep if I don't try to stretch out and keeps my gear dry.

Another pro owner. I just picked up a ARE shell off of craigslist. Have to get it colored matched though. Figure I would have better chances of winning the lottery than finding an inferno colored matched shell. But n the end run I'm more than positive the money I will save by buying used will be significant. I got lucky with the fund too. Exactly what I wanted. Now be build a bed/drawer storage platform.
Just keep an eye out on Craigslist and extend your search area. Just remember good deals on these shells go fast. So search often and be aggressive when you find one. Don't ask a dealership body shop to color match either. They quoted me 1500 which is outrageous. Find a body shop that you feel comfortable with. I'm not sure what color match will cost but know I'm not paying$1500. I'm waiting on a quote now from the shop who did my front bumper.
    Good luck
