I have been changing up my sleeping set up for a while now and one of the more challenging aspects I encountered was privacy curtains.

    * First I used cardboard cutouts with velcro and quickly realized I didint like to look of it and I had no way of opening my view since the cardboard was rigid.

    * The I tried insulated reflective sunshade material used for windshield covers. This actually worked for a while and I liked how they kept the heat out during summer. They were soft enough to be able to fold back if I wanted a view. But It was not convenient because I had no place to put the window blocker when I removed it while laying inside. And lastly I realized that the velcro was starting to pull the carpet from the fiberglass.

    * So after about 3 days of browsing the internet and trying a few ideas that did not work I finally figured out something for now that seems really legit. I used a long skinny solid aluminum bar because the small pvc pipe I tired flexed too much. Then I used some earthquake strap type of mild steel and cut some brackets and bent them to fit. I used the existing window brackets inside the camper shell because I came to find out the shell will crack if you try to drill into it. Then I used a Dremel to make the holes big enough for the bar to slide through.Lastly, I bought some cheap window curtains and cut them to fit and now I have privacy sunshades that I can slide open if I want a view. Total price was about $70.

Please share your sleeping set up ideas!

I used copper pipe mount and bent it in half to make a bracket for the middle of the alluminm bar to prevent it from sagging in the middle and also to prevent it from rattling while off roading.
