@Stags863, would you know the model number of that toolbox? I finally found an online source (CarID.com) and having a difficult time finding the right one. Their Camlocker line up doesn't specify vehicle compatibility for our Tacomas. I measured the truck bed, but I'm a bit hesitant on placing an order. :( I just want to order the right one as it is a 2 to 3 week wait. :) If you happen to have the model number, that would really help and greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've looked everywhere on the toolbox and cannot find the model number. I did measure the toolbox lid though and it is 65.75 inches across. Hope that helps.

Just reference for everyone that may be interested. Per CamlockerOnline.com fitment guide, the following models are compatible:
    • CAM/KS-65 LP Y FN
    • CAM/S-65 LP Y FN
    • CAM/KS-65 Y FN
    • CAM/S-65 Y FN
"LP" means Low Profile, but that is just a guess.

Based on the fitment guide, I'm not able to match up "exactly" what is offered at CarID.com. However, I found the following Matte Black version that are described as being a "Universal" fit:
"MB" is likely referecing Matte Black, but "DW" is what throws me off.

I'm thinking of getting the 16" in height for little space at the bottom as @Stags863. I think it's pretty close. I've contacted the manufacture to confirm and CarID's chat support was not helpful at all.

@Stags863, does yours measure 16" in height?

OK I think I got the abbreviations LOL:
    "DW" means Deep & Wide
"XDW" means Extra Deep & Wide

It's hard to tell from the pic but it's 13 inches deep.

Thanks @Stags863. That height measurement helped verify the correct one offered at CarID.com. Although you measured 13" in height they have one at 14". The model is:
The "FN" means Full Notched which should clear the wheel wells per manufacture recommendation.

After running some "whup-de-do's" in my buddies outfit (fully loaded tool box) - we discovered the little J-bolts had deformed both the side rails and the bottom of the tool box. And came loose. So on his - and mine - we got bigger, longer "real deal" J-bolts and hooked them into the forward "tie-down" anchors in the bed wall. Then we made some drilled, flat strap washers to fit inside the box so the nut load was spread a bit better - used locking nuts and cut off the excess bolt thread. Neither one of the boxes has come loose since then.

Later I went further, replaced the front bed tie down rail with a piece of SQ steel tubing, then screwed the box to that - and then remounted the factory tie rail to the back of the tool box. With reinforcements, it is now possible to use the factory load anchors on the toolbox.

I was thinking of using something like these clamps as described in this post Mounting a toolbox to a Tacoma with bedrails.
