I bought camburg because I could get it slightly cheaper than TC. I don't think there is really that big of a difference in uniball uca's.

Yeah idk much about control arms so I thought I might ask. I'm leaning more towards the camburg also because of the price difference

Be prepared for the uniball squeak. The only thing I've found to work is cleaning with soapy water and q-tips. Triflow or other dry lubes only work for like a day.

Thats where I am stuck trying to decide. I have ADS coilovers and dakars just sitting here because I cant make up my mind on UCA's. Everyone recommends Total Chaos but I can't handle a uniball squeaking. I guide hunts for a living so I see 20k miles of dirt roads every year and can't be cleaning and lubing uniballs every few days. You hear of some people who never have gotten the squeaks and then some who can't ever get it to go away. I'm leaning now towards the JBA's but don't want to have to get new rims to be able to not rub the arm with 255s on stock rims.

Woah, didn't even know this was a problem. I'm guessing silicone based lubricant and the cover for the uniball would help? I'm also looking at the beefy UCA that come with icon stage 7s.

I have Total Chaos Uniball UCAs and they're silent. The only time you hear a faint noise is when the poly bushings aren't lubed up well enough. I grease them at every oil change and they're quiet.

Camburgs are also available with a MOOG ball joint instead of the uni-ball.

I think almost all the uniball manufacturers say no lube at all. A cap on top would help keep a lot of the grime out.

Im chiming in hoping that this conversation picks back up again. I am pretty well versed in springs and mechanical workings and stuff, but I have never owned an IFS truck and dont know the first thing, good or bad, about UCAs. I have been planning to buy pretty much the best ones I can get and have them sitting here to inspire me to buy my coilovers. But now I am stuck not knowing and having to ask people I dont know what they think and then try to decide whether or not to trust them. :angrygirl:

    Workin' on it....
How squeaky? Like the occasional step on a creaky wooden floor or your upstairs neighbor getting ploughed on on an old rusty box spring mattress? I bought some used TC uppers (not installed yet) so hoping that they aren’t too bad. Icon Deltas might be an option for you if the squeaking is unbearable.

Well since we are in the rainy season no squeaks. But last summer was almost unbearable. This year shouldn't be as bad since I have a cleaning regime now.

I've had Camburgs for 4 years now and love them. Got a little squeaky after a year or two of no real cleaning. But honestly I think I got way too many miles on my uniballs (60k). I just switched them out a few weeks ago and whatever ptfe liner was in there when I got them was long gone. They were plumb worn out. New FK's went in and silent as can be. Zero issues with the Camburgs.

I'm sure any of those you mentioned will be the same.

Jba UCA has my vote...maintenance is easy...5-6k miles lift that red cap on the ball joint and give it 2-3 pumps of grease and that's it.

Replacement of the ball joint is only 60 which is pretty cheap compared to its competitors if you ever had to do so.

    Another option is Dirt King.

Side note, not a fan of the JBAs. Chevy Ball Joint is a Chevy Ball Joint.
