In preparation for a little caliper maintenance I ordered a small kit of parts. I was mainly after the new guide pins, but these little rubber parts were included. For the life of me, I can't figure out exactly where they go after Googling, looking at pics, etc.

The long one appears to be a cover for the guide pin, but why is the end nearest the camera closed off? Where does the medium one go, and what is that little rubber plug at the bottom of the pic for? I'm really embarrassed that I'm having to ask these questions so I hope you guys don't mind. Thanks!

Those are for a 2 wheel drive ( not a Prerunner ) front disc brake Floating Caliper. The long piece is for the Brake Cylinder Slide Pin the other is a Dust Boot and a Slide Bush. It looks like from your signature you have a Prerunner and if so you may have the wrong kit. The Prerunner and 4X4 do not have Floating Calipers.

This is a 2WD Floating Caliper below:

Excellent - thank you sir. That certainly explains why those parts are out of place on my truck. Appreciate the help.

Yep. For single piston caliper. You have 4 pistons.
