Checked my 2021 was dusty with a bit of dirt but nothing drastic.

Went to see how much these things are -
I mean $19.00 cheaper for the Bosch ?... that's a medium sized pizza in my book.

Being the cheap-azz that I am, how different can these things be?
It's not like I'm doing open heart surgery in the passenger seat.

Bosch is a known quality brand and I wouldn't hesitate to use it. Some things I'm ok with not using Toyota branded parts.

Also, I prefer to avoid all the fancy HEPA high filtration ones as they restrict airflow without much benefit.

I like to stay with OEM oil filters but definitely go aftermarket on cabin filters. If you want sticker shock ask your Parts department how much one can of Toyota transfer case fluid costs.

I would use the cheapest one I could find....if I ever changed one.
    15 yrs on a 1st gen c.f. and 8 on a 3rd.

I've blown out the existing one periodically but I've also been mostly garaged with little offroad.

You should price one from BMW, talk about getting raped. I got one from Rock Auto for my daughters 330i. A Mann charcoal activated for half the price. As one would guess, the OE one I pulled out was Mann.

    Pfft. Mine says TRD. :D

All kidding aside. That's a great price for a Bosch. Heck, they're probably made by Denso or Bosch.

IMO: You don't have to worry about anything Bosch makes. I have been using their parts in non-Toyota cars for years. (Volvo) They are/were the OEM for plenty of the parts on their cars: especially electrical.

The price of the flimsy Toyota OEM cabin filter as compared to the good quality of their engine filter, side-by-side which costs less, is beyond ridiculous. I would go out of my way to find a Wix (Carquest/NAPA) or even a Fram before I shelled out that price for the OEM one. (Cabin filter) Just beware of counterfeits if purchasing on-line.

Item for $7.76 is available - shipping is $14 LOL ... then tax...

I'll go to WMart and find something for less - I'm so cheap it's pitiful.

I use the charcoal ones because they help with weird smells in my cars and trucks... also for some weird reason ill have to double check think my Tacoma one cross references over to my wife's Subaru as well.

Do you have previous experience buying from MechanicSurplus.Com? Be careful buying supposedly OEM Toyota parts from sites not run by dealers, more likely to get counterfeits.

Wallymart carries Fram. Cheaper to order online, P/N CF10374.

He has it right. Just buy the cheapest you can find you can’t tell the difference. Vehicles didn’t even use to have cabin filters and no one was worse off for it. Probably half the population never changes that filter. I’ve never had anyone get in my truck and complain that I have a cheap cabin filter. No one knows because they can’t tell if it’s cheap or not unless they look at it.
