Hey All - Did a quick search and nothing came up. Had a C4 hybrid front bumper installed today and now i'm getting a sensor error "pre collision sensor not working" or something to that tune. Anybody have experience dealing with this? I had a shop do the install, so I can bother them to fix it.. just wanted to know if it was normal/to be expected.

    TIA!

Did the new bumper come with spots to install the sensors so they’d work properly?

I have the same bumper with no sensor issues. Check the plug behind the grill, maybe they forgot to reconnect it.

Another C4 hybrid here with no issues. Did a home install.

Do you happen to have a mid-rise hoop? I think that one can interfere with TSS. I have the high hoop and it's fine

I don't know what kind of solution you're hoping for but the warning was right there on the website.

Im not too heartbroken about it, just need to not be distracted anymore! I never used lane departure, i found it super annoying.

The lane departure and backup sensors should all be unaffected. I think it's just the forward pre-collision system that's being blocked

Check your owners manual for everything that grill sensor does.
    Sell or cut off bullbar.
See if C4 can make you a hirise bullbar and send it to you.
    just some ideas. Good luck.

Not sure what grill you have.. The pro grill has the sensor at the bottom. I have a 2021 OR with the sensor in the center behind the Toyota emblem. You may want to try the opposite grill as you have. Just a thought

I have the TRD Pro one, i stumbled on a thread of someone who relocated the sensor so i am going to probably follow suit, however i didnt know that this would mess with my cruise control. I would consider the switch to your grille.. i just dont love it :(

Update - saw on a different thread that someone had actually done a successful relocation of the sensor and kept the mid height bar.. Going to be trying that before all hope is lost!

Can you link the thread? I have one on the way and may do this as well! I ordered knowing the mid bill bar wasn’t compatible with TSS, but I love the mid bull bar look.
