Buyers remorse over Diode Dynamics interior led's?

I bought Diode Dynamics bulbs for my interior, for all intent's and purposed, the are AMAZING, but... I saw Meso Custom's has replacement light's for the top center, and map light's. I'm wondering, are they actually "better" Or am I just chasing a unicorn? If I didn't know the Meso Custom's replacements existed, I would think my solutions was PERFECT, but now that I do, I'm wondering if I made a mistake.

Anybody try both of them out?

Is the Meso brighter than the replacement Diode Dynamics bulbs?

The one is a complete replacement, vs just new bulb's. I wanna know if meso is actually "better" and something I should upgrade to in the future.

Comparing white to white. I learned on my last car that i hate any interior lights that are not white.

 

The Meso Customs will most certainly be brighter. The problem with the Diode Dynamics one is that the majority of your light is going upward or to the side and there's no reflective material to redirect it.

Personally, I purposely didn't go with either. I tried something similar to the Diode Dynamics one and was unhappy. I found a much cheaper alternative that was way brighter without being overkill like the Meso Customs would be.

But, of all you're looking for is brightness, Meso will definitely do that for you.

This was the kit I purchased 3 years ago on Amazon. To date, the only bulbs of the kit I've had to replace were the map ones and license plate ones since they were the same. I replaced those with Sylvania bulbs. The mirror and dome lights all still work. I will admit I haven't checked the reverse lights in a while so I'll consider this my reminder.

But, you can see the dome lights in the photo (two metal ends that come to a point with 6 flat LEDs. The fact that they face directly down is why it was brighter than the Diode Dynamics style.

 

I've got Meso dual color map lights front and rear and VLED's aqua foot lights front and rear. Completely happy with the setup. That's what I would recommend. Diode Dynamics makes really good fogs and ditch lights though.

 

Yeah, that's my concern, I'm completly happy with my setup also, (I also have the Vled's!) but now I have buyers remorse and wonder if I would be "Happier" with the Meso Custom's ones. Are there any downsides you see top having them? Anything to dissuade me from wanting to "upgrade"?

 

Cons to Meso's map lights, well they're bright; like too bright. However, if you're camping or out in the sticks they're perfect. I've dropped things in the back seats and with a flick of switch can easily find them again. I didn't bother updating any other interior lights. Between the Meso's map lights and VLED's footwell lights it's plenty for me. I'd buy both again if I were to do it again.

 

I feel the same way about the Diode Dynamics wit the Vled's.

3 times's tonight I've gone out to my car, opened the door just to look at them. They are perfectly bright, Like I have no idea wtf I would gain by having them brighter. I guess your right. It'd just be something for me to piss money away on with no real gain, but damn do I want to try them out dispite my logical side telling me no!
