MOD EDIT 4/2/22: It is believed to be Eddy has vacated the building as it was sold, and is no longer in business, nor does he hold a valid business license any longer. Your orders are most likely gone with it, unfortunately. You can try to pursue civilly, but it may be a challenge.

I’m not going to tell you to buy or not to buy. I’m not that guy, but what I am going to do is tell you about my recent experience. I ordered sliders on November 1st, I also had messaged them and asked what lead time I should expect.(knew I have events coming up) I was told 8-10 weeks. So at week 11 I kindly messaged and asked an eta. I didn’t get a response on the same message that I received my eta on so I looked for other sources of contact. Sent a message on here, on their website, and email. I was finally contacted back on email…… you know what, I’m just going to screen shot the emails with the dates and you can figure it out from there. Needless to say almost to 18 weeks and I am being ghosted by whoever runs this place now. What sucks is I had all SOS armor on my last truck and loved it. Now I found out that Eddy sold the business off and the new owner is just sending out products that are crooked and don’t line up right.(my buddies front bumper) and not being corrected or reimbursed for. All I want at this point is a refund. I wish I knew how bad this company had become. Thanks for reading

I decided to change the title because I’m just that upset about the situation at this point reading other people problems with the new owner…..

I ordered sliders around the same time and got mine last week. Awful communication and I caught them in a lie. Someone who represents SOS on another thread was relatively helpful and getting me info.

Is the quality at least still decent? I’m really regretting my order at this point

They look great (aesthetically and structurally), confirmed by my buddy who helped me install them (welder and mechanic hobbyist). That being said, if they offered me a refund today, I’d take it out of spite.

I didn’t realize Eddy sold the business. Glad I got all my SOS stuff when Eddy still owned it. Hopefully everything works out OP.

Last I talked to Eddy, about a week ago the company hasn't been sold yet. He's doing everything he can solo. I mean he could of sold it sometime in the last week and I'd be none the wiser.

SOS is no longer a vendor due to issues over the last couple years.

I have all SOS armor except my roofrack. This doesn't sound like the eddy I know. With that being said he isn't always the best communicator .. I see it as he is just a welder and fabricator not a salesman. I'm not defending nor condoning any actions. I do hope some of the representatives will be able to further assist you.

One thing I seem to ponder is why is he a 1 man show? He had help before; why'd they run off?

From his mouth.. he said he was having quality control issues and that when covid hit the "workers" took unemployment and quit on him.. and they wanted their positions back and he wouldn't hire them

Seems like you know him fairly well then. Maybe you could put a bug in his ear to just update his lead times to whats actually accurate. I think people are very understanding about honesty upfront; its the holding onto somebody's money with broken promises that don't go over so well.
