Ah... I wasn't paying attention. My fault. I just glanced at the gun model and not the name. Yeah, 180's are much better for PvE and any weapon that creates Warmind Cells is great. I've got a few Nation of Beast's sitting in the vault. They have great rolls on them (they don't create Warmind Cells) but until 180's get a buff I doubt I'll use them. It's a shame because I really like how they feel and shoot. But I look at everything from a PvP perspective. If it's good in PvP then it will most likely be good in PvE. I usually just delete any 180 as soon as they drop. Kind of like I delete any Night Watch Scout Rifle that drops. I've only got one that I've kept. The rest get infused into the weapons I use the most.

You know? I've never slotted a Warmind Mod. They are great but the way I have my characters set up, I just don't have the space for them. Usually someone in our group has them so that's good. They are great for AOE damage since the explosion is pretty huge. If I'm not mistaken (and I could be) I think there are some weapons out there that inherently create Warmind Cells? I could be wrong on that though.

I do run "Powerful Friends" along with "Radiant Light" on both of my characters. Mainly because of the boost that it gives to your stats but also because of the boost it gives to anyone in the group when you cast your super they automatically become "Charged With Light". Assuming they have damage dealing mods on that use "Charge with Light" then it's a free damage buff for them also. So if they are running "Argent Ordnance" and "Breach and Clear" it just boosts their damage for free. But mostly I like the boost in stats that it gives. It takes my St0mp-ee5 up to 101 in stats and also takes the class item up to 42 (when it is generally capped in the low 20's with only one stat increase). The only catch is, your armor must be Arc to use "Powerful Friends". But now that there is no more Sunsetting I've got a set of Arc, Solar, and Void armor leveled all the way up and built with the best stats that I can find.

I've only run a few GM nightfalls and I really don't like them. It's just a war of attrition to me and I hate just "peek shooting" until something goes down. The only time I'll run a GM Nightfall is when the Palindrome is dropping. That gun is worth the pain of a GM Nightfall. That said... I've gotten 4 Adept versions of the Pali and they all suck

On the "Fallen Saber Strike" on Hero or Legend I just run Riskrunner because everything in that strike is shooting Arc at you. It will wipe out an entire room due to the Arc chain that it creates and as long as you're taking damage you never have to reload. Just spam fire the shit out of it. Honestly... when running strikes or lower end NF's, I never take Riskrunner off because no matter what you are fighting, something will eventually shoot Arc at you or a Vex will blow up and leave an Arc puddle. I can't think of a strike that doesn't allow that gun to proc? It's the best add clearing weapon in the game for normal activities IMO.

 

Since I didn't have a raid group, I played IB for a little while over the weekend. I'm not that great at PVP.. but I was competitive and didn't finish last every match, so I was happy. Even made it through the whole IB bounty. Mainly used The Last Word as my primary the whole time.. had a blast doing it.
- used Adored (just unlocked it like a week ago lol) for the 10 Sniper kills
- bit the bullet, stooped to their level and broke out Felwinters Lie and used that and Riiswalker/Palindrome for the 10 shotgun kills
- Seventh Seraph HMG for the 3 heavy kills

I gotta go through my IB weapons I unlocked and see if I got any good drops in them. I find it funny they nerfed quickdraw on Felwinter's and Astral.. yet the set drop for Riiswalker has quickdraw on it. I also want to try and use Adored a little more PvP and try to get used to sniping.

 

IB isn't too bad now since they added in "Freelance IB". Kind of like "Freelance Survival" was a nice addition. At least you know you won't be playing against full stacks. I generally don't like playing 6's and usually the only time I play 6's is during IB to get the drops to level shit up or if there are any new weapons I might like. I did get a nice drop on the new Sniper and I do like the scope with Snapshot Sights. Thing is... I'll still probably play with the Adored. I do like the Frozen Orbit that I've got but the Adored does everything that the other Snipers can do and it does it well. In the last video I posted, I use the Adored like a primary. I think the first kill in that video was a point blank headshot on a rushing Titan. Hell... I think the first 5 kills were Sniper shots lol. The Last Word is just too good at close to mid range engagements and it pairs perfectly with a Sniper. It's ease of use and fastest TTK in the game is what makes it so good. You just have to remember to never ADS when using it. I love using The Last Word.

Nothing wrong with breaking out the Felwinters Lie. It's still one of (if not) the best Shotguns in the game. You might as well use what the meta calls for. The only nerf to Quick Draw was to the +100 it gave you in handling (and they took Quick Draw off the Felwinters). Now it only gives you +100 for one sec. after switching. It's a hidden perk that doesn't show up on screen. But it doesn't affect how fast you switch to a weapon with Quick Draw. Thing is... If you have Quick Draw on one weapon, the effect goes both ways. So if you have a Quick Draw primary, it will still draw out the Felwinters faster than normal and then switching back to the primary is faster. So you only need Quickdraw on only one weapon for it to affect both weapons.

The only time I change my Mods is during Trials to take the intellect up close to (if not over) 100 to get my super back as soon as possible. Trials games are usually over within a min. Once you get the first pick it's time to collapse on the other team. #1 rule in Trials? DO NOT GET PICKED. #2 rule in Trials? DO NOT GET PICKED. Other than that, I go for a more neutral game setup with intellect sitting around 60 or so. In 6's there are enough people to kill that your super will come up fast so I'd rather have my melee and grenades up more often.

On my Hunter, I run Revenant because... well... it's the most frustrating class to run against right now until they nerf Stasis on the hunter even more. On my WL I run middle tree Stormcaller for Chaos Reach and the Getaway Artists Gauntlets for the Supercharged Arc Soul. Free damage is always nice plus it will tell me if there is a hidden target. I hate Stasis on the WL. Especially the super. Stasis on the WL works well and the burst radius is huge. But it's easy enough to evade and I just don't like it. I just prefer Chaos Reach for the ability to cancel it and get maybe 4 to 5 off during a match. I just wish Stormcaller had Icarus Dash like top tree Dawnblade. But Dawnblade is so easy to shut down that I just don't use it that much. I do love the melee from top tree Dawnblade. But I also like the melee from Stormcaller. The trick to the melee on Stormcaller is to shoot it over the enemies head. It does much more damage than hitting them directly.

 

Oh... I forgot. I tested my VoC with Rewind Rounds and Kill Clip. Yeah, it sucks. I was hoping it would auto proc once Rewind Rounds proc'd but it doesn't. The only way Kill Clip procs is by reloading negating the usefulness of Rewind Rounds. So it's a useless perk. But... it's a Scout Rifle and they are all pretty much useless right now (Dead Man's Tale excluded).

The labyrinth is trippy as fuck. Pretty cool addition to the game and a really large addition. I'm sure there are some secrets in that area if you explore around.

 

This... is why the Riskrunner is the best add clearing weapon for any strike in the game. It's good up until you go past Legend NF then you'll have to take something else. But for any common activity like Battlegrounds, Override, etc... Nothing much beats it.

Raid is fun though and I do like the changes. Challenge mode starts on Tues if I'm not mistaken? Every person must be using Void subclasses. Not really an issue on the Hunter since that's about all I run in VoG. Star Eater Scales are one of the best (if not the best) exotics in the game for PvE content. And they seem to outperform anything while playing Top Tree Tether.

I did get just about the God Rolled Hezen's Vengeance the other day. It's as close as we're going to get to the Gjallorhorn in D2. Overflow and Cluster Bombs. And the Cluster Bombs are no joke. Largest AoE in the game from a RL I've seen. Being able to have two in the tube puts out some serious damage or add clear. VoC is underwhelming unfortunately in any form. D2 just isn't made for Scout Rifles and I don't know that it ever will be. Especially Legendary Scout Rifles. Praedyth's Revenge??? I never take it off in PvE. Rewind Rounds is one of the best perks ever for a PvE sniper. Finally did some testing with it and it will fire 14 rounds before reloading (assuming you hit your target). Damage wise, it puts this sniper up towards the highest damaging snipers in the game. Not per shot but for total dps. When you don't have to reload until 14 shots are gone, nothing much will beat it in the sniper dept.

VoG is a great raid albeit pretty easy. It takes us about 30 mins or less to reach Atheon. One phasing the Templar I think is my biggest problem. It shouldn't be that easy. I suppose with all classes locked to a specific subclass for challenge mode might make it a little tougher but the Templar fight is my biggest criticism about VoG. The only challenging thing about VoG is Atheon. It's probably the most technical part of VoG but no where close to Kings Fall or Last Wish. If we are running our regular group it's pretty easy. If we are running a group that doesn't know how (or refuses) to call out the Oracles, then it's painful. It's similar to running the Relic. If no one picks up the Relic then it's a wipe. I still don't understand why some refuse to run the relic? In the Gatekeeper phase of VoC almost everyone has to touch the Relic (well... at least 4 do). Running the Relic is the easiest job in the raid. Hell, during the Templar it's probably the easiest job in the entire Raid. After the first set of Oracles go down all you have to do is move to one of four spots to keep the Templar from porting. The rest are just burning him down within 20 secs or so.

It's still a fun raid but like most raids, forget taking more than a couple of people at a time that haven't done it before. And like all raids, I refuse to use a PUG.

Now if the Mythoclast would drop.

 

Atheon from my point of view. Sorry only one other in our group had their mic shared. But this is what it looks like. One guy left before this fight so we brought in another from our clan and he did great. Got him down even with a few mistakes.

I heard it was really good. The only sword I use is the Sola's Scar (Adept) since it's a Caster Frame Sword and this one will build up class energy while blocking. Then with Vorpal and Boss Spec on it, it will destroy most anything in it's path.



I might use Falling Guillotine since it's a Vortex Sword. Jagged Edge, Relentless Strikes, and Whirlwind Blade is what your looking for on a Vortex Sword. I've got three of them with that roll. I just like the Caster Frames better personally





Ran VoG three times today and still no Mythoclast. But we did get quite a few Triumphs completed.

 

Yeah, same thing happens with pretty much any sword. Falling Guillotine with those mods do the same thing. One Vortex swing? Deleted. Same thing with the Sola's Scar or any caster sword. The nice thing about caster swords is you can delete things from a distance. But I hear the Crown Splitter is pretty amazing. But I don't have a Titan so I can only go by what other say. Including you.

 

I don't run any anti barrier / overload / unstoppable mods if I'm running a sword. I can just delete stuff without having to worry about it. Even in the Heroic versions of the Lost Sectors, I never run mods. Swords will bypass the shields. Unstoppable Champions? Caster Swords are great for dealing with those dickheads.

Fuck... Finally finished up the Gilded Unbroken Title tonight. Haven't thought much about it and noticed that all I needed was 51 more Fusion Rifle kills. So I did the unthinkable. I broke out the Jotunn. I feel like I need a shower now. After that I only needed 4 wins in a row in the Glory Playlist. I'll be fucked if I didn't have a full team four matches in a row. Someone always left and it ended up being a 2v3 and one match it was a 1v3. Ended up losing that match 2-4 but I was happy to even win 2 and come out with a positive K/D. Finally got pissed and just went off after that. I figure if no one is going to help I might as well play like I don't have a team.

Gilded Unbroken Title. To get the Unbroken Title you have to get to 5500 in Comp three seasons in a row. Then to get the Gilded Title you have to do a bunch more shit.



One of the matches that was a 2v3. Lost by one game.



After that? Got pissed and went off. Never got killed.
