    Heu guys.
I’m new here and any insight would be appreciated . Here’s a little backstory on my situation
. I took my 3rd gen into the dealership last week and we talked about the Tacoma lean. They said there was a service bulletin out for it and that they would look into it and fix. They called me back a week later (they still had my truck) and told me that what it was an optical illusion. If they expected me to believe that they had to be kidding. Anyways they replaced the back window because they said there was a pin that was broken off that was causing the window to not be in the right place causing the “optical illusion”. Now, after my friend brought it to my attention the gap between the bulkhead and the bed are different lengths on either side. The passenger side i can barely fit my thumb through and on the driver side I’m able to fit my thumb no problem with a little extra wiggle room. To me that doesn’t seem like an “optical illusion” to me. What should i do?

I could be mistaken, but I think tacomas coming from the factory with beds and rear bumpers out of alignment is a known problem

Maybe. Could someone try it on their to see if there is a similar instance? I realize we all have different thumb sizes tho!

Pretty common. You can unbolt the bed and realign it, or take it to the dealer and have them to it.

Very common problem. Took mine to dealer, 6 bolts to loosen up, shift bed, measure, then tighten

Go to Harbor Freight and get a T55 Torx bit and adjust it yourself (unless you like going to the dealer).

If you have about 30-60 mins you can do the bed and the bumper on your own. I aligned the bed to the truck cab and then the bumper to the bed. Once all 6 bed bolts are loose the bed moves very easily FYI So don’t push/pull too hard.
