Anyone run their truck through an automatic wash with a bug deflector attached? If so, is it still attached? Mine is fairly secure with about 6 or so clips, I just haven't had the guts to try it.

You'll be fine with the bug deflector. The paint on the other hand won't. Those automatic washes trap debris in the bristle or "fabric" which in turn is transferred to the paint. Go to one of those do-it-yourself with the wand, but bring your own washing brush or mit. There isn't any way of knowing what the brush there has been through either.

better self service have the car pressure washers... IMO... if I cant hand wash for some reason (really busy) I just go to the self service with the pressure washer and itll do good. those automatics don't make it clean at all.... get your truck real dirty and go through one and see...
