Bucket seats for 1st gens?

I was wondering if they sold bucket seat brackets for my truck. it has a bench which is very uncomfortable and I want to install bucket seats. Does anyone know a website?

 

Might have to do custom... and this way you can have it just how you want it

You can go to a local pick and pull and see if they have 1st gen bucket seats. They’ll bolt right in. I have a 2003 Tacoma that came with 60/40 bench seats and I found Limited Tacoma seats. I just posted some bucket seats in the Buy/sell/trade section that are on Craigslist in Asheville NC. (Not mine)

Yes, but also, anything is better than the bench! The 4runner bucket at least has the adjustable lumbar support and can recline if needed. I'm short so I sit closer to the dash so I can reach the clutch which means I can recline a little.

 

If you are swapping seats do not use the factory tacoma seats. A folding chair is more comfortable. I swapped in power 1999 camry seats because I yanked them out of my DD that died, major PITA from a welding standpoint, but they are comfortable and were free.

 

i know! i put about 24k miles on bench seat at 3 to 7 hour drives bi-weekly for a couple years

 

Where did you get these seats? Did you just use the stock rails?

My 60/40 bench would kill my back after like 10 mins of driving, I put on some front seat jackers to lift the front of the seat and now I'm good for about an hour and a half without back pain. Might be worth a shot.

 

I love those but theyre so damn expensive
