Requesting input for wheel spacers to make this work.

before I get blasted for trying this I should mention I like the steel wheel and bought 5 wheels and tires from takeoff bronco for only $800.

Also installing the RC 3.5” kit. I didn’t want to scavenger hunt to find FJ wheels or Tacoma spare wheels.

the bronco wheels are 17x7.5 with 55mm offset whith 265/70 17 tires.

I had the wheel bores machined to fit the 106mm hubs but there is no room for a tire against the knuckle. The edge of the rim touching the knuckle when fully seated on the hub.

What size spacer would be needed to have clearance and still keep the wheel flush or inside a little bit?

    thanks for input.

I won't blast you for getting Bronco wheels, only for the RC (Rough Country?) lift. 3.5" is going to be rough for your CVs as well.

As far as spacers, you'll be looking for something like 1.75" - 2" spacers to get the tires flush with the fenders. I'm not really sure how thick spacers can get.

I mean, toyota makes steelies that are very similar to that...

The issue is that bronco hubs are smaller than toyota according to Bronco forums (93.1 vs 106). I haven't seen an adapter that can fit a 93mm hole onto a 106 peg.

Yes, got the 3.5” rough county kit with upper control arms.

I’ve had the truck only a few weeks and admittedly going cheap. I figured the tires are worth what I paid and hopefully can make the wheels work.

I believe I’ve seen 1.75 and 2” spacers. Definitely have to get centers now to hide the hole created by the offsets.

I had the wheel bores machined to fit the 106mmhubs. That’s the bronco wheel sitting on the front hub. Issue now is that crazy 55 offset

That looks about like most of the lifted trucks here in TN. Most of the wheels hanging out the sides

maybe you shoulda had a spacer made w/ the ‘inside’ to mate with the hub and ‘outside’ to mate with the wheel….

thats a lot of material to buy and mill time.machinist aren’t cheap.

opening up the existing bore on a lathe was a reasonable expense

didn’t know it would hit the knuckle until i put it over the hub.

Some of this Some of that
That is a lot of effort and extra money to make the wheels fit… might be better off finding some Toyota wheels that don’t need mods or spacers

That's what I was thinking. That's a lot of work instead of just sourcing some steel wheels that'll fit a Tacoma. Any tire store could find them for you easily

The same shit everyone else has.
Stock Sport wheels are 7.5” et 30

A 25mm spacer will make the Ford wheels sit just like a stock 17” Sport wheel.

Most people add 1.25” Spidertrax spacers to factory wheels to make them relatively flush with the factory flares.

You’d be looking at a 2.25” spacer to push those wheels flush with the flares.

I was able to buy a brand new FJ cruiser steelie for my spare tire for like 55 bucks online somewhere. You could order 5 of those for half the cost of a set of 2” spacers. 2” spacers do exist but I would not ever want to run something that thick, and I’ve run adapters in the past. I think I had 1.75 and 2” on one of my Volvos and they just felt sketchy.
