I read through a good chunk of that, my question is...why would hedgies, hedge a short on gme with a long on amc, if they know that amc is also just a big ol ??? Meme stock. Just because theres correlation, it’s correlation based on the same hope and a prayer bullshit we are waiting for, but presumably hedges know what’s going on because they have the data.

so I guess, tldr...what evidence is there that there is hedging going on using amc....which is the premise of that analysis

 

haven't read it...but seems like a great way to make a lot of money to cover your shitty GME short.

AMC is lower price...so you can buy way more shares. 100,000 shares from $38 to $72? = 3.4 million in gains...
some of the (1 minute no less) bars on AMC had 10 million in volume.

Like Mike said, easy to manipulate the cheapie stock to keep money flowing to fund your short on gme

Premarket across the memestock landscape is pretty hilarious today.

Not sure exactly whats going on here, but considering the volumes on everything but GME it would not surprise me if shorts were heading for the exits on lower priced stocks. You can cover 4 shares of AMC for the price of one share of GME right now and the liquidity is there to do it.

That, combined with MSM hype/FOMO, makes sense here. Why isnt it happening with GME? Because similar percentage price movements would be catastrophic for covering entities. Remember January? THEY TURNED OFF THE BUY BUTTON WHEN GME WAS APPROACHING 500 BECAUSE THERE WAS RISK OF WIDESPREAD CLEARING AGENCY DEFAULTS.

That was from a ~$40 starting price per share. We're 7x that now.

So if you take the assumptions above as true, they're treading lightly around GME because people are cautious around things that can kill them.

 

Read that yesterday, skeptical but intriguing. Could in fact be the case.

Edit: That last line about AMC downticks being amplified in GME certainly holds up in the current premarket movement.
