So have 2022 Toyota Tacoma SR 4wd double cab. I have about 7k miles on the truck. Took truck for it's 5k service. Rotors were warped, so they turned them and I still notice pulsing when braking. Would like to upgrade rotors and pads. Looked on forum but did not really find many selections for a 2022? Want slotted rotors and maybe TRD pads?
    Thanks

If you are still pulsing take them back and have them provide new rotors as turning was not enough. It should be warranty work. Do no settle for a half way fix and then have to spend your own money to make a defect better.

It's such a pain in the ass to do anything with my dealer, plus they are an hour away from where I live. Last visit just to rotate tires and determine I had warped rotors was 2.5 hours.
Just might get the power stop kit and not deal with the dealer. I am taking a road trip from Louisiana to Utah soon and will be towing a trailer, so will need some good brakes.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
I wouldn’t spend a dime on something that should be 100% covered. But again, that just me.

I would take those back and get it fully fixed.

Is rotor warping a common problem?
I'm bout to hit 40k miles, and my stock rotor and stock pads still going strong.

I had a pulsing on my 2022 AC Trd Sport. It was coming from the rear. I had to convince the service manager but they went ahead and turned them. Sure enough my rear drums were "out of round". I spoke to the mechanic and he said he's seen a few like that. It was fully covered.

Will make an appointment at a different dealer and let them check out front and rear rotors again.

Buried in one of the threads is the best value solution. StopTech cryo treated rotors and TRD pro factory pads.

When I kept getting warped rotors on my gen1 tundra, I went with EBC slotted, and drilled rotors with the stock Toyota ceramic pads. Best thing I ever did on that truck. Never had a brake issue like that again.
On another note, once brake rotors become warped, its very unlikely their ever be useful again when you turn them.

I know it has drums on the rear. But there have been issues with bad drums. Going to have them checked out anyway. This is such a pain in the ass with a new truck. If my f350 would not have been stolen I would have never bought a Tacoma. Very aggravating that you have to fix manufacturing defects and being cheap.

Same issue here on my 2018 within the first year. The dealer turned one rotor, then replaced it a month or so later. They also replaced a rear drum that was out of round. Service guy said it wasn't a common issue. Parts guy laughed when I asked him. They were doing a lot of that warranty work.

I went after market on the front pads and rotors when the time came to replace. Haven't had to replace the rear brakes yet.

You could just push the dealer for new rotors then buy quality aftermarket parts. Pull the OEM stuff for spares or sell them to offset your out of pocket purchase of better brakes. Win-win.

Well what is a decent slotted rotor to purchase? What is the part number for TRD pads to fit a 2022?

Slotted rotors on a truck is needless and won't last as long

I would NEVER cut rotors on a 2022. That is warranty work. They were. CUtting corners. (Rotors). Take it back and get them replaced!
