Changing my brakes and the wheel hub comes off with the rotor. It’s rusted like a mf . How do I get the wheel hub off the rotor . I have to take it off together so i can’t just bang it while on the truck .

I would take a block of wood and 3lb hammer and knock it off

Might be one little screw holding it, remove if there. Next, put hub back on, then place wood under rotor, then lower truck slowly until rotor rests on wood. Close valve on jack, then slowly drip by drip lower Jack gradually putting more weight from truck onto wood until rotor breaks loose. Before doing this, spray your PB at base of each stud so it goes behind rotors and between hub and rotor.

Mine have always released using this method.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Pics would help, but if your hub came out while trying to remove your rotor then you have other problems then just brakes. That hub is pressed through your wheel bearing. The bearing is held in the knuckle by a c clip. If the hub popped out with the rotor then you also need a new wheel bearing to be pressed back into the knuckle. If the hub is out with the rotor then just put the hub into a vise and heat the rotor or beat it with a dead head mallet until it breaks free.

If you watch the video the brakes come out together with the rotor . It’s not like the 4x4 version

Try heating up the rotor with a torch?

you 5 lug SOB. Heat and vibration works well. Sorry I don’t do much on 5 lug setups.

Put the five bolts back on and turn out about two threads; tap each with a hammer. Find a way to hold it up so the rotor drops down.

You really should just find yourself a digital copy of the FSM. It has detailed instructions and diagrams on how to remove these parts (for both 5 and 6 lugs trucks):

I'd beat it like a red headed step child with a sledgehammer... That's what I did on my wife's car. Took 3 days of heating, using rust busting sprays, and lots of cursing.

only asking to rule out the obvious but you did unbolt the rotor from the hub right?

i'd hold the hub firmly down on a piece of wood, and just hammer on the rotor until it breaks free. That's assuming you are replacing the rotors. Ideally, you should be repacking the bearings anyway but if not, just be careful not to mess up the seals for the bearings on the hub or you'll have to replace those too.

If you wanna save it, buy a gallon of Evaporust at your favorite big box store. Works wonders and is reusable. Run through coffee filter back in the jug. No way I would try to work on it in THAT condition

Thats properly rusted! Going to need a lot of heat and a very BFH. Have you priced an entirely new assembly?

Any way you could tap a wedge in the gaps where the lug studs are?
That’s going to be a tricky one to get off.

Depending on your situation and budget, you might really consider get a new hub.
If that isn’t an option, you got a lot of work on your hands if all you have is hand tools.

PB Blaster and time are def your friend here. It's cast iron, so it's pretty soft in terms of metal. Be careful with prying, but as long as you only apply force the rotor, give'er the beans!
