    Changed my OEM's out on Monday to Duralast Gold. About $50.00 at Autozone. 96,000 miles on the truck.

    I think I must be one of the only people who wasn't impressed with EBC, mine didn't last nearly as long as I expected and even though advertised as "low dust" they coated my wheels. I'm using akebono ceramic pads and centric rotors and I'm very happy with them so far but I've only had them for about 6 months now.

    A TRD OR built into a Baja/PRO hybrid

    I had problems in the past running Hawk LTS pads on my ZR2... after a few thousand miles the metal backings of the pad were moving around and rubbing causing a squealing noise. I had to take tin snips and cut then down then grind them smooth. Similar issues running Hawk's on one of my Honda's before too, backing plates completely came loose and were grinding grooves into the rotor. I'll never run them again.

    And I believe the Duralast are lifetime, right? I go cheap ceramics (Raybestos, I believe) on the pads, but I splurged on EBC rotors.

    Have pictures? I'm having a hard time imagining a backing plate grinding into the rotor. Did you contact Hawk about it?

    I've run them a long time and on several vehicles, including an Integra, and an S4. On this truck I even towed a grossly overloaded 6x12 Uhaul trailer from San Antonio to Florida, over 1,000 miles, with zero complaints.

    So the OEM pad lasted 96k miles and you went with something else.

    Why? The OEM pads lasted 100k miles and aren't expensive. Changing to something else doesn't make sense to me.

    MSRP on OEM front pads for 6-lug is $99. Online price is like $79.00 with shipping... But the Duralast Gold ceramic pads with lifetime warranty is $36.99 and can be had around the corner. It made sense to me, and they work really well.

    I stick to EBC green stuff 7000k pads on both my vehicles, they are simply a great pad.
    I had hawk LTS on my truck for around a year and the brakes never felt right... switched back to EBC and instantly they were good and bed in, same rotor too.

    How many "lifetime" warranty pads you think you will change out?

    My experience is every 30k miles if your lucky. Sure the replacement pads are free but you do the job 4 times instead of once every 100k.

    Still doesn't make sense. Maybe my time is just more valuable to me than $40.
