Thank you. I know I didn't trigger the brake override system, as I have a 6-speed, and my left foot is always on or near the clutch. Toyota service dept. just informed me it's a computer issue and they will need to replace the computer.

What year is your truck? I thought they worked that issue out by 2017 but could be wrong.

I've seen this before and the customer swore that he never pushes the brake and accellerator pedal at the same time. Toyota's techstream can look at the event that caused the code to set and we counted 40 events of both pedals pressed at the same time. Obviously this is not the OP's issue.

Brake and gas pushed at same time? Shouldn't this be in the 50+ thread?

Your fos and have no idea what your talking about. This is a defect truck and came on after waking up to go to work in morning. Drove home fine night before. If you have no clue what your talking about it's best to not say anything at all.

Per chance, did anyone get a definitive answer to what may cause this error? Went to fas station to get something to drink, tried to turn on the vehicle and then got this error. Completely infuriating really. Got the car towed to dealer and am apprehensive because I don't see that there is a definitive root cause.
    Thanks in advance,
    Gary

Mine came on when using the pedal commander and switching between settings while car was on and in gear. After turning ignition on an off six times at dealer system was reset and good to go.

Thanks for the info. I do have the pedal commander, but wasn't switching the settings. Turned off to go into gas station, then turned on without touching the pedal commander. Should I take out the pedal commander before the dealership sees it? Afraid of some cockamamey excuse and/or discussion on voiding warranty, etc.

    Thanks again...appreciate the reply.

Did you try turning on an off 6 times to reset the system before taking to dealer. I reinstalled mine after and haven't had any issues. Showing them would be your choice I'm not sure if it could void warranty using.
